This is my 3rd time here for post surgery rehab.. Only this time I am here over a month... I was able to form a better opinion.... I am here for antibiotic pic line therapy, I had a knee replacement, and 7 weeks later it became infected.. If I want to take a shower it needs to be covered/ wrapped, nothing major ,only i found that only a couple of the CNA'S know how to do it the others have the nurse do it... my opinion teachable moment to do this... Other than that Staff, CNA'S,Nurses, PT,OT Are absolutely fantastic.. They treat you with respect, call you by name etc..I highly recommend this facility! However the food service is totally disgusting!! Food cold , ive had dirty silverware, hair in my food,not getting what I selected, rotten fruit , and I mean rotten ... Bananas are given when available, for three days straight I received Bananas that the skin was totally brown, u werent able to peel them because they just ooze out, and if u do get it peeled its badly bruised, to black on the inside... but to give them out for 3 days straight totally unacceptable.. So if you do choose this place bring a cooler ,for sandwiches, pizza, leftovers etc... I know im not here for the food but residents including myself deserve decent food... if it wasnt for the OT/PT And majority of the nurses and CNA'S that are in my book amazing I wouldn't come here at all... I hope for the long term residents things improve nutritional wise...

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Answered all my questions and were very attentive to my mother who was there for rehab after back surgery.

Vestal Park is clean and inviting It does not have unpleasant odors as many nursing/ rehab facilities often do. They have pleasant places outside of the patient's room to gather and talk, or eat together. The staff is courteous and it seems to be a secure facilty.

I found out about Vestal Park because my cousin has been here for a year or so. I think it's so nice I was able to get a friend in there for rehab , probably assisted living. He is very happy about that. There's always plenty of friendly, happy staff, very clean, the meals are very nice and it is just a nice place to be. I'm glad both of them are there.
