I was in extreme pain and discomfort, I called for an appointment, was told I couldn’t get in for 2 weeks. But was told the Dr would absolutely call me before end of business day to speak with me. Possibly getting me in the next day. So I did not call anyone else in hopes of speaking with the DR. NO CALL. I was in complete discomfort and pain all weekend. Upon receiving a denial, I called Dr. (after not hearing back from her at all) and was advised that, "it's not my job to write letters to insurance for coverage". I think that's exactly what your job entails; to help me get the coverage that you yourself determined I needed. I'm still waiting for a call back from April 2021. Pathetic experience all around, I would never recommend this Dr.

She is one of the most caring doctors I know, and I have many (unfortunately). I used her for several years and changed to a doctor closer to my home and also because I was admitted into St. Catherine's Hospital and had a horrible experience there. Now, I want to go back to her since she also has privileges at Stonybrook. I love her and hope she will take me back because I am not happy with my relatively new GI.

Dr Von Althen-Dagum is so professional, I went to her in my late 40’s for a problem I had my entire life. She figure out my problems, made my life so much better. There were times I could not hold food down., after many test she figured it out. I now have a life. This Dr has wonderful bed side, and always has follow through. She is wonderful and I have sent 5 of my friends to her. She is always on point. I would recommend her to all.

not a good provider, will not put effort in helping you find a solution to your problem. Saw her for GI issue, but just referred me to lab for testing. provided result but did not provide additional solutions.
