Trust her more than anyone with my skin. A true expert and artist. She is very honest, direct, personable.

I went Dr. Macrene Alexiades 9 years ago, and still remember how horrible that experience was. She seemed only interested in money, and pushing her very expensive services and creams. The treatment I received was extremely uncomfortable, with the machine breaking down in the middle several times. I'm amazed that she is still in business, because I just assumed that any professional who treats clients like I was treated, would eventually run out of people to mistreat.If I could give a no-star rating, I would certainly do so.

I reached out to the office to schedule a consultation and I was advised that I needed to call in order to make an appointment. The receptionist was cordial and asked me how I heard about Dr. Macrene. Once I advised the receptionist that I had read an article about the practice, she told me the doctor was not accepting any new patients and that I should call back in six months. I find this to be a very strange way to filter out clientele. If Dr. Macrene is only interested in working with celebrities and referrals, she should communicate such on her website and her staff should be more explicit when they receive new patient inquiries.

Dr. Macrene is a fabulous doctor. She takes a "less is more" approach that syncs with my aesthetic orientation. She did not try to over or up-sell me and she helped me address a few issues that had been bothering me for several years. She is very smart, very funny and she has an excellent, artistic eye which cannot be taught in medical school. The practice is located in a high-end building on the Upper East Side and the only negative is rubbing shoulders with some seriously snobby women who take themselves WAY too seriously. The staff however is great and I marvel at how they contend with some seriously annoying patients and their ridiculous attitudes.

Dr. Macrene Alexiades is knowledgeable, talented, and committed to the science and art of dermatological care. Her credentials are as impressive as any I have seen. I have been her patient for over ten years, for dermatological maintenance - annual skin check, issues such as rosacea and acne, peels, etc. But more importantly for me, she has been treating very successfully the Port Wine Stain (birthmark) on the right side of my face. I began having laser treatments on the birthmark in Boston in the 1980's, and most of it was removed over time; but there were still small patches that refused to disappear, and also reoccurrence in the areas already treated. When Dr. Macrene acquired the Excel V laser (the latest technology, which the doctor explained is specially designed to treat the lesions of birthmarks) she knew how to utilize this technology to finally start eradicating the marks that remained. Every time she treats these areas, with the Excel V and the Vbeam, they get smaller and smaller. As one can imagine this is very exciting for someone who has worn this mark on her face for her entire life! In addition, her office and her staff are warm and welcoming. It is always a pleasure to visit. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I've seen Dr. Alexiades several times over the past 5 years and I can't rave enough about how professional and capable she is. She is thoughtful, attentive and has always fully described her recommendations to me. She isn't pushy and won't do procedures that will look "over done". A year ago, she noticed an unusual mole and she caught and cured my skin cancer. She's truly the best dermatologist in NYC.

Dr. A is an amazing physician in every way. She has treated several family members with a variety of conditions as well as myself over the course of several years. She is accomplished in all facets of dermatology- able to diagnose and treat all conditions as well as make you look 10 years younger. Named as dermatologist of the year in 2017 by Vogue she is well deserving of the recognition. Dr A goes above and beyond in every way!

Doctor Alexiades is very skillful and has an artist's eye as to what will work best for you. She is very straightforward and always takes the time to answer your questions and explain which procedures will (and just as importantly, will not) be optimal for you. She tries to do her best for the patient. With Doctor Alexiades, you always know she has your best interests at heart.

I've seen Dr. Alexiades-Armenakas several times over the last few years and I can't rave enough about how professional and capable she is. She is thoughtful, attentive and has always fully described her recommendations to me. She isn't pushy and won't do procedures that will look "over done". The office is tastefully decorated and clean. Her receptionist and assistants have always been very helpful as well. You will not be disappointed.

at least double cost of other dermatologists in my area and I can't see why. i was disappointed that the common dermatologist in my neighborhood gave me the same products she did. i thought I was paying for something different and better, but what she suggested for me did not work. says her lasers are only ones that 'really work" and that she is "laser expert."
