I just recently had back surgery(micro discectomy) on October 26th so I’m a week out and ready to go back to work. I had no pain whatsoever after surgery, and was walking around within an hour in PACU. Amazing surgeon with great bedside manner. Not only does he specialize in spine surgery , but he also does other orthopedic surgeries including ORIF’s, ulnar nerve,carpal tunnel,CMC Joint Arthroplasty, and more. You will not be dissatisfied nor disappointed in the treatment and service with Dr. Baird !!! 10/10!!

Dr Baird performed my first Carpal Tunnel surgery and it was such a great experience that I came back from Virginia to NY just to have him complete my other Carpal Tunnel. He and his staff are so accommodating. They fit me in for surgery practically on the spot! In my opinion he is one of the best! Highly recommend him and his staff! Their ambulatory surgical center is so organized and no need to go to the hospital great staff! Shout out to the Administrative Professionals, Nurses, Anesthesiologists, and OR Technicians and all other staff!

In my view, Dr. Bruce L. Baird is an incredible orthopaedic surgeon. He inserted two hip prostheses for me; one in 2010 and the other in 2015. His expertise allowed me to return to work very quickly and also return to riding a 10 speed road bike in just a matter of weeks. Please keep in mind, I was 56 years old when the first surgery occurred. On January 5, 2021, he performed Carpel Tunnel Release surgery on my right hand. The entire procedure took less than ten minutes and the recovery has been phenomenal. In September, 2019, I started working with him with regard to my deteriorating knee joints. He told me because of their condition, he would refer me to an orthopaedic surgeon at Lake Placid Sports Medicine (Bartlomiej W. Szczech, MD) I'm impressed when a surgeon tells his or her patient there's another specialist who can better help them. I've been working with Dr.'s Baird and Szczech since that time and am now enjoying the benefits of two new knee joints. While Dr. Szczech performed the surgeries, I would not have known about him had it not been for my relationship with Dr. Baird. That relationship also made completing all necessary releases and related paperwork very easy. What's more, Dr. Baird handled most of my follow-up visits, saving me from having to make several trips to Lake Placid; a six hour round-trip from my house. I cannot say enough good things about the North Country Orthopaedic Group, Dr. Baird and Dr. Szczech.
