List of Kartik S Patel's Reviews
Theres a reason he's about the only Doctor in Webster taking new patients. He doesnt follow through or follow up, patients are just a check to him.
It was difficult to find a PCP accepting new patients. I had my first visit with Dr Patel and can't believe how lucky I got choosing him! He answered all my questions and explained why one drug I was taking was a poor choice. He is easy to talk to and patient. He looked at me instead of focusing solely on his laptop which I appreciate.
Followup for hospital visit for chest pain and shortness of breath. After reading report, he says everything looks good. I tell him everything is not fine. After much arguing Dr. Patel becomes defensive, even going so far as to regurgitate all his training. Finally sends me to Cardiologist, who after an EKG, sends me by ambulance to hospital where they find blood clots in my lungs. Had I listened to him I might not be here today.
Was switched to Dr. Patel when other Dr in the practice retired ( I liked other Dr & was with him for many years). Dr. Patel didn't really want to listen or continue prescribing controlled drug that other Dr. knew worked for me, I was safely Not abusing & was inexpensive solution for my condition. Patel just didn't want to have to fill out the extra paperwork associated with that drug or assume any risk on his end. He switched me to another drug which I tried with a open mind but had side effects that I couldn't tolerate. Bottom line is that he was more concerned with himself than what worked for the patient. I will be looking for a new MD.
Had follow up with him for chest pains and shortness of breath. He read results from heart testing and said everything was fine. I said everything is not fine. He got defensive, even spouting off about his credentials. He refused to send me for further testing. After arguing, he finally sent me to Cardiologist who sent me directly to ER where they discovered blood clots in my legs and lungs. Had I listened to him, I might have died.
He really bent over backwards for me. I couldn't be where I am without his help.
I've been at this office for over 30 years and rarely have I experienced any issues with their service. I moved to Dr. Patel's care this year and have found him to be very tentative and responsive to my needs. His treatment actions have been spot on and in alignment with the specialists I also see. I would recommend him as a personal physician to my friends.
Dr. Patel changed my mother's prescription that she had been taking for 10 years for no reason. He was also supposed to refill a prescription for her and never did. She needed it filled before she went to have a biopsy done, but she never got it because the office never called the pharmacy.
My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Patel for many years. He always listens and gives good, solid conservative care. Dr. Patel was the one who found I had cancer and saved my life.
Go somewhere else. Totally dismissed my symptoms. Basically told me it was in my head. He basically could care less, I was rushed and dismissed. WILL NOT GO BACK, shame though as the nursing staff were very nice and friendly

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
