My first appointment was lovely with the doctor, unfortunately If I knew things will get so complicated I would not have even bothered. From my first appointment in March to now August 1at 2023, as a worker in the medical field I was appalled from the lack of reaching out back when I did my due diligence from my side, with blood work and all the multiple specialists visitations asked upon requests including the copays and time off from work then to be told by Staff after 6 months that the time I was expected to have the surgery (before school starts ) will not be possible is disheartening to me. Have I known that would make me feel so unsettled truly I would not even bother.

The doctor was great no complaints on that end, when it comes to the staff if I could give ZERO stars I absolutely would! Unfortunately due to the rude staff, (Amanda) inconsiderate, lack of communication and knowledge of patient care and office procedures I was forced to change practices so I could be treated respectfully and accordingly by another NYBG office.

Dr cussatti has given me my life back when other surgeons turn their back on me he stepped to the plate and repair my hiatal hernia that destroyed my body and my miend I been thru hell and back and thanks to him I got my life back so if you need one of the best surgeons in new york he is the one may God bless him always.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cussatti's since 2011. I have had multiple surgeries performed by him. He is very knowledgeable and answers all your questions before you have to ask them. He is compassionate and does not rush you through your appointments. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking into bariatric surgery.

I had a vertical sleeve gastrectomy in 2018 with Dr Edward Cussatti. From my Pre operative phase until today, Dr Cussatti has been the type of Physician that is truly knowledgeable and supportive every step of the way. I reached my goal weight in 11 months and am grateful everyday for this tool and for this amazing, gifted surgeon. He truly cares about his patients and wants you to succeed. I would recommend him to anyone looking for the very best!!
