gastro issues + subsequent colonoscopy

Not thrilled with him. He has poor bedside manner and too flippant. Only reason that I went to him, was that my regular gastroentrologist Dr Winston LO,not seeing anyone in person because of covid, He did recent colonopscopy and endoscopy about a month ago. He did remove a polyp in my stomach and colon, but I have had an ongoing reflux acid condition. When he asked how I'm feeling a few weeks after the procedure, I stated so, so. Then he had the nerve to say, oh you had a clean diagnosis. Don't ask me if your going to contradict me, Will be returning to gastroentologust practice with Dr lo in New City, NY when they resume seeing people live anot virtual.

Husband's appointment was 5 days ago. Had an x-ray at that appointment. 5 days later he calls to say my husband needs a follow-up x-ray. Never bothered to read x-ray during appointment. Never bothered to send prescription to pharmacy. Not returning!!!!

I thought his staff was friendly and thoughtful. Dr. Nici was friendly and informative. He requested additional testing and gave me a prescription. I’m on my third day and already feel better. Looking forward to the testing and next appointment to discuss test results.

He doesn’t care, spoke with me for 5 minutes without even addressing the issue of Silent Reflux. I brought up a few concerns I had in doing my own research and knew more about the issue then he did. All he said was take this medicine and that was it. The medicine has made me nothing but sick and feeling terrible and my silent reflux has gotten worse. His office staff was rude and unpleasant to deal ...

Wait time was extremely long. was called in 15 minutes after my appointment time which I could understand but than to make me wait in the room for 45 more minutes. I was about to walk out and leave, but stuck it out. The doctor came in and said sorry for the wait and just sat down. Asked me a few questions than said Ok meet with my nurse they will set you up with an appointment for an endoscopy. And that was that. I am disappointed because I read so many amazing reviews. Maybe it was just an off day for him , but I left there with not even an ounce of understanding what it might be.

Dr. Nici is very thorough. He takes necessary precautions for elder patients and puts the family at ease knowing that he is doing everything possible and timely in a difficult medical situation. His focused and thorough testing, medical guidance and strong determination lead to the resolution of what could have become a life threatening situation for an elder hospital patient with a GI bleed.
