Jeffrey W. Degen's Online Review Report Card

Garnett medical ER referred us to Dr. Degen for follow up. My husband's reports and tests were sent to him. I begged for an appointment, my husband could not walk. I was told the best they could do was nine days away with a Physician's Assistant. I offered to go to any of his offices. When I finally got my husband in with a spine surgeon elsewhere he said surgery had to be immediate or his legs could be permanently paralyzed. Condition was Cauda Equina. Surgery done that day and my husband may still never have function of his right leg. I feel the apathy of Dr. Degen was appalling.

He was referred by Garnett Emergency room. He had all the copies of our tests. My husband could not walk. I begged for him to see my husband at any of his offices. I would have paid the money in advance as he was not on my husband's plan. He would not read the MRI. I was offered an appointment with a Physician Assistant nine days away. I finally found a spine surgeon two days later and said my husband was emergent and in jeopardy of being paralyzed with Cauda Equina. They operated that day. At this point my husband still may not regain function of his right leg. I thought the lack of caring to not even look at my husband's MRI when he was the one referred was apathetic and negligent and I want people to know of my experience.

I would highly recommend Dr. Jeffrey Degen. It is just a little less than a month after Dr. Degen performed a Laminectomy and Spinal Fusion on me. I had been in excruciating pain for several years prior to the surgery. The day after the surgery the pain in my lower back, hip and leg was gone. I of course had some pain in the surgical area but the pain that necessitated the surgery is gone. I am once again able to walk pain free. During my initial appointments, prior to my surgery, Dr Degen explained in detail what the surgery would entail and what I could expect after the surgery. I found Dr. Degen to be both compassionate and professional during every aspect of my treatment and post surgical care.

He was thorough and kind. His office staff are kind and very helpful from multiple calls and through our visit.

Dr. Jeffrey Degen is Amazing! I had a very intricate 5+ hour spinal fusion 8 weeks ago and I'm feeling great. He is compassionate, knowledgeable and professional. I would highlty recommed Dr. Degen.

Not happy with the after surgery. 2 months out and as a doctor he should be helping to determine the pain my father is experiencing that he did not have prior.

Misdiagnosed the patient costing additional weeks of pain and unemployment. Most disconcerting was the lack of time Dr. Degen spent with the patient as well as his lack of concern for his patient's welfare.

Never again !
