List of Brian Smith's Reviews
I have been a patient of this practice for 15 years, in that time I have only seen Dr. Smith himself twice as I always see his NP/PA, but both times I have seen him, he's been fantastic. Both times I've seen him have been for specific issues that had me pretty nervous, he calms me right down, explains everything in detail, and distracts me with jokes during the appointment/procedures. He's just so easy going.
I went to the ER.. got in to see PA the next day as a new patient. Need surgery Dr Brian Smith was so caring and comforting. Great personality. He made me feel like I was his only patient. His recommendation to try what was best first me and it worked. He seen me prior to surgery and in recovery and still made me feel like I was his only patient that day.
My first prenatal appointment was awful. The nurse was extremely rude and had acted like I knew exactly what I had to do before she took me into the exam room to see Dr. Smith. Once we saw Dr. Smith, he acted as though I was there for a routine checkup, didn't introduce himself to my husband and didn't even ask if I had any questions. I wasn't sure if it was a bad day for everyone at the practice so I didn't take any extreme measures until I had another appointment, we all have bad days! I was sent for bloodwork for a cystic fibrosis test, no family history of it and was never informed that the test was extremely expensive and basically unnecessary since neither myself nor my husband had a family history of it. I went back for a second visit and was made fun of because my weight stayed the same and my pants were still too loose. Once again, Dr. Smith couldn't have cared less that my husband was in the room and just acted like we would meet for 5 mins every 4 weeks as the pregnancy progressed. I have since switched practices and will never look back. I will say that requesting my medical records was unpleasant but they did promptly get them to my new practice so kudos to them for that.
I am so great-ful for Dr. Brian Smith! Many years ago... when I was in my late 30's, I was experiencing some female problems for over a year! Three different doctors wanted to do a full hysterectomy. One of my friends told me about Dr. Smith doing a procedure (other than a hysterectomy), that could really help and was new fairly new to this area although it was being done in California. I immediately made an appointment with him and was so happy with his demeanor; kindness, patience with sharing information, and gentle. He performed an "Endometrial Ablation" on me which felt like a life saver in so many ways!!! The procedure was much better than a hysterectomy for obvious reasons and I was able to resume my full active life that I was missing for over a year!!! Thank you Dr. Smith!!! I continue to see his PA whom I also love! She is full of answers for my questions as I continue to get older! lol BUT... I do request to see him every 2 or 3 years when scheduling my annual... because I love and appreciate him and again... I AM SO GRATEFUL for the positive impact he had on my life! Obviously... I highly recommend him!!!
For the last eight years I have been very happy with Dr. Smith and his office. Other family members are also patience.
Everytime I went to him for my endometriosis pains he refused to help. He only wanted me to go to a pain center. I did this. they did nothing. Didn't help me at all. Six months later I went back to Dr. Smith and begged for help because I was doubled over in pain. He proceeded to scream at me and wave his arms in the air saying there's no way he is going to scope my belly! I feel this is neglect and abuse of power. I will never go back.
Been with Dr.smith almost 15years and he's delivered 4/5 of my children through csection. Might not like everyone in the practice but he has made my child bearing experience +.
I liked Dr Smith, he was very friendly to me, however when he met my husband when we were having trouble getting pregnant he didn't even look at him when we were all talking. He made us feel like he shouldn't even be there. The office In orchard park messed up all of my records. Canceled my apt without letting me k ow and I took off of work that day and the manager was ver rude on the phone to me until I was in tears. I will never go back.
Dr Smith is wonderful but the staff is not. The office manager had me in tears. I was going through a very rough financial time and could not make my payment on time and was asking for a little understanding. She has no compassion and told me I was released from the practice and even if I did pay my bill i would not be welcome back. I'm having issues and I want to see my doctor but was told not because I owe $50! I would never work with this office again. They do not care about the patients.
Dr. Smith left placenta inside my uterus during a planned and scheduled csection. His bedside manner is arrogant and he is pushy about his recommendations which as based on outdated statistics. Not an evidence-based provider.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
