Dr. Likul did extraction and graft work on me. While I was under anesthesia he clumsily broke another tooth and did not inform me about it. When I returned and confronted them about the broken tooth, I was told by the billing office that Likul said to go to a dentist and get that tooth repaired, and that they would reimburse me. Unfortunately, the COVID quarantine/pandemic hit and I have not been able to go to a dentist. They are now saying that they never told me they'd reimburse me. What a deceitful bunch of crooks. And I now see this pattern in the other reviews.I can't wait to spread my warning about them on social media, so nobody else ends up with sloppy work and horrible customer service.

My son had 4 wisdoms extracted under my great insurance plan. Licul did a fine job extracting the teeth under full sedation. While in his mouth he supposedly discovered (will never know for sure) a "cyst" in two of the tooth pockets. He cut out the cysts of course, probably taking 30 seconds of his precious time. While insurance paid most of the extractions, the itemized invoice included entries/charges for two cysts priced at a whopping $800 EACH, which insurance did not cover. So I'm hit with $1600 out of pocket! (no dentist or doctor in their right mind would have charged a penny to quickly and easily remove them, which I confirmed with a few dentists & doctors I know). $800 each is 2x the price of the sedation and to extract the highest-priced tooth ($356). So a $400 O-O-P bill turned into $2,000. He prob gets away with this regularly, handsomely padding his income each year. Nice try. This unethical dental practice lost a good family & word of mouth. Simply greed at its finest.

Dr Licul did a fine job extracting the teeth under total sedation, but while in my sons mouth he supposedly discovered (we will never know for sure) a "cyst" in two of the areas where the teeth were removed. He cut out the cysts of course, which each probably took about 30 seconds of his precious time-- and never mentioned a word of this to my son or my wife who drove him there. While insurance paid for most of the overall procedure, when I received the itemized invoice from Dr Licul's office, I was shocked to see entries/charges for these two cysts, priced at a whopping $800 EACH, which insurance did not cover, meaning that I was being asked to pay $1600 out of pocket! No dentist or doctor in their right mind would have billed a patient an extra dime while he is "in there" to remove a tiny cyst (supposedly) which takes a few flicks of the wrist or fingers with the scalpel. But the most disturbing part of this was the price he set at $800 per cyst, more than 2x the price of removal of the most impacted tooth ($356.. the other three teeth were 285, 216, 216)!! The sedation was about $400. The entire POST-INSURANCE out of pocket invoice was for over $2,000, which, without these "cysts", would have been an expected $443 after insurance. Having a major insurance carrier that he was very familiar with, he would have known in advance and from experience that cysts are not covered, and that the patient would need to pay the massive balance at 100% when bill is received. In my case, a $443 invoice turned out to be $2,043. Who knows if there even were any cysts, and if there were, he should have just quickly removed them while already in there. I asked other dentists and doctors that I know well and they all said these removals are quick and easy, happens all the time, and they would never charge for this, let alone attach an insane and insulting price of $800 each. I called and spoke to one of the billing nurses who seemed to agree with me and just needed to be careful how she phrased things, and wound up working with me on the balance for just a few hundred dollars after I said I will not be paying this invoice. The ol' cyst trick is probably a practice that they always do and mostly get away with, which lines their pockets with thousands and thousands of dollars every year. He should be ashamed of himself, and my family will never return to him. Simply put, this was greed at its finest.

Not only did I wake up under anesthesia during my wisdom tooth removal but cut open my lip and had to get 4 stitches. After that there was no aftercare instruction causing me to get dry socket and an infection a month later. Thanks for nothing.

Dr Licul, in my experience, was quite excellent. The staffers at his Syosset office were lovely. The space was very clean. They had to deal with my really annoying insurance company to get payment. My only complaint is some of the other professionals he referred me to weren't so great- and I am putting that nicely.

I was recently treated by Dr. Licul for an extraction. I am a very apprehensive patient. I found him to be very reassuring, sensitive and compassionate. Equally important he was quick and painless. I highly recommend him.

Dr Goldberg has no bedside manner. He is arrogant and without sensitivity for his patients. The practice billing is more painful than the procedures they perform. Stay away!

What a mess and so much pain. They over charged me. It was an extraction and the tooth fell out in the chair. He still charged me over $500. Don't go there.
