List of Alberto Escallon's Reviews
Dr. Escallon declared that my child had no learning disability without examining the child, talking to the teachers who had suggested a possible learning disability, or speaking to the referring pediatrician. Fortunately, the child later received appropriate treatment.
While working at Mt. Sinai, Dr. Escallon gave what purported to be an authoritative diagnosis of my child without examining the child or ordering clinical testing. My child suffered severely as a result. The child had a minor and easily corrected learning disability that I described accurately to Dr. Escallon (during my interview with him).
My child was under Dr. Escallon's supervision when he directed a clinic at Mt. Sinai. Although I had repeatedly requested a cognitive evaluation because my child's teachers saw problems with his expressive language, Dr. Escallon informed me, in writing, that my child did not need any testing and that the only problem was the child's relationship with his mother. (I suppose that is because I had dared to question his refusal to even have the most basic testing.) Instead, Dr. Escallon recommended talk therapy with a child who turned out to have a language processing problem. Yet he had never laid eyes on the child, much less talked to him, or examined him. His lack of care was diastrous for our family and was only overcome when I went for testing at my own expense. My child continues to suffer from this failure to diagnose and I continue to be appalled by Dr. Escallon's arrogance.
Without meeting my eight-year-old or even laying eyes on the child, Dr. Escallon determined that the child had no learning disabilities despite repeated evidence to the contrary from the child's teachers and parent. Dr. Escallon's extreme arrogance in this matter severely impacted the child's mental health, delayed diagnosis and treatment of his very quantifiable language disability, and caused tremendous emotional and financial distress to our family. He is beyond arrogant.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
