List of Cynthia R. Pfeffer's Reviews
While it’s clear Dr. Pfeffer means well, she seems to be lacking the ability to connect on a genuine level - or at least connecting with adults. She was dismissive and condescending during our session. She focused more on psychopharmacology aspect than getting to the route cause of my symptoms. It was frightening that someone so allegedly “qualified” lacked the basic necessary skill set required to be a clinician. If your goal is medication regulation she may be of service to you, however if you’re seeking to be introspective or partake in beneficial psychotherapy I’d recommend you look elsewhere.
Dr Pfeffer is truly a lifesaver. Our young son was trying to harm himself and we were lucky enough to be referred to Dr Pfeffer. Her experience and expertise made our sad, terrified, anxious child feel calm and comfortable. He had never been able to talk about his fears, but with Dr Pfeffer he felt at ease and was able to open up and tell her what was troubling him. She helped us to help him. We will always be grateful to her.
I'd leave all stars unfilled if I could. Dr. Pfeffer diagnosed me with a mental health condition I was certain I didn't have and prescribed medication I strongly doubt I needed. Discussions were superficial, not getting to the heart of genuine concerns I had. She was dismissive when I brought up more substantive matters, saying we could discuss them later. Her focus seemed to be on things I didn't need help with (e.g. how to find a job). Would add more if space allowed. Horrible.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
