List of R. Michael Koch's Reviews
Dr. Koch is the absolute best for breast lift and reduction! I am thrilled! From start to finish it’s been seamless and flawless. Office and nursing staff were always available to answer questions pre and post op. Dr. Koch explained everything about the procedure and what I would need for the after care. He was kind, gentle and thorough. I couldn’t be happier with his care and my result!!!
Dr. Michael Koch is the most warm and empathetic doctor I have ever met. He is truly a gentleman in every way. His care and technical skills are outstanding and his calm demeanor makes patients feel at ease. His consults are artistically detailed and he takes time in explaining your procedure. Kristin and Chihiro are amazing from beginning to end and made the whole experience smooth.
Doctor michael Koch is the best plastic surgeon in the area !! Everyone at the practice is very pleasant !!
Everything about Dr. Koch and his staff is perfect.
I had implants done by him in 2011. His old office got rid of my records & he did not have them. They seemed to be pushing me off since august. I had seen other surgeons who all said the implants needed to be removed bc they were teardrop textured which have been taken off the market & some recalled. Spent no time with him, no or little communication & finally when they felt they had to see me again bc I forced their hand the PA was beyond rude to me & said "it’s not like this will make you feel better” I said no I don’t know that my blood work all came back negative so it might. Then they said they would get me dates/pricing & never did. From August to Mid-October is ridiculous. I have had a better experience at literally every other surgeon’s office I went to regardless of if I decided to get the procedure with them or not. The staff alone is enough reason to stay away. If you disagree with them or question them they will say you are lying or difficult(how they have responded to other negative reviews Worst experience every go to anyone else besides him. They even tried to blame me & say it was me which if that is the case then why did other doctors agree( primary care, GI, Endo, cardiologist, rheumatologist & other surgeons who say it is a possibility due to the type of implant he used & the negative results from the blood work) - but we are all wrong & they are the only ones right SMH - Not surprised they told me not to tell the old practice the records were for him - I thought that was originally shady i should have taken that red flag & ran instead of wasting my time! Dr Koch & staff go ahead say I am incorrect & lying I can post emails next where nothing has been explained ever & it was even told to me that he received & reviewed my blood work but he said he had not reviewed them yet & i was kept waiting 2 hours for a 10 min meeting - I have stuff written down as well the story kept changing - but myself & all these doctors are wrong/lying & you are the only people right!
I had the BEST experience with Dr. Koch and his whole team. It was truly a wonderful and warm experience from start to finish. Dr. Koch was a wonderful surgeon - he took so much time and care to make sure I had no questions and knew exactly what to expect, and the staff was always helpful and kind. They ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up (Chihiro, Kristin, and Alicia are all fantastic). I am so glad I chose Dr. Koch and would do it over again in a heartbeat. HIGHLY recommend to anyone!
Look no further!! Dr. Koch & his entire team are outstanding! I am so grateful I found them! Starting with his administrative staff (Kristin & Alicia) both exceptional young women who were so kind, caring, capable & always helpful! I appreciated their attention to details, follow-up, and professionalism. It helped to alleviate my anxiety & me wondering if everything would work out administratively and it could not have gone any smoother! Dr. Koch is fantastic! When I met him, he immediately put me at ease. When I spoke, I felt he really listened to my concerns & treated me respectfully. He was kind, patient and caring. I was impressed with his expertise & knowledge in my specific area of need. After the consult, I just "KNEW" he was the one and felt completely at peace. Thank you ALL (including all the nurses and even the anesthesiologist at the hospital in Cortlandt Manor) once again for taking such excellent care of me. Thank you Dr. Koch for having a wonderful demeanor & so skillful at what you do. I am so grateful & feel so blessed. Many blessings to you all!
I had implants done by him in 2011 and started to feel like i was having complications now. His old office got rid of my records and he did not have them. They seemed to be pushing me off since august and it is almost novmeber. I had seen other surgeons who all said, and even they said they needed to be removed bc they were teardrop textured implants which have been taken off the market and some recalled. Spent no time with him no communication or very little and finally when they felt they had to see me again because I forced their hand the PA was beyond rude to me and said "its not like this will make you feel better you know that right" and I said no I dont my blood work all came back negative so it might. They then said they would get me dates and pricing for hospitals and never did. From August to Mid October is ridiculous. Poor communication and staff attitude towards patience is something i would avoid. I have had a better experience at literally every other surgeons office I went to regardless if I decided to get the procedure with them or not. The staff alone is enough reason to stay away
I had abdominoplasty with muscle repair & liposuction to the flanks performed by Dr Koch on 1/8/21 for $9,100. I visited his office twice prior to the surgery, reiterating my concern about ensuring the scar would be concealable. Postoperatively, I was stunned to discover the incision was not only above my bikini line, but also curled up both sides of my flanks. Besides asymmetrical, conspicuous scars, I still have a protruding lower abdomen, love handles, more laxity, stretch marks on my left side and dog ears. I was offered procedures, new to his office, to try to rectify my disappointing results. I requested a rep for the company be present and asked if he had experience performing these on dark skinned, black patients. After the appt was confirmed, I received a letter stating he would not move forward because he was offended by my "racist" comments. He felt my result was excellent, because I didn't suffer any medical or surgical complications. Wish I could upload my pics. Beware!
I had abdominoplasty with muscle repair and liposuction to the flanks performed by Dr Koch on January 8, 2021. I have an overall slim build but had a lot of skin and stretch marks after having 2 children. I had contemplated this surgery for 20 yrs, being fearful of anything invasive using general anesthesia. I knew I’d be trading one scar for another, but I wanted to ensure the level of the scar would be concealable. I visited his office twice prior to the surgery, reiterating this concern. I wore bikini underwear to the appointments, which I had to lower for him to point to above my pubic region, where the scar would be. Pointing towards my hips, he mentioned my incision may be, “a little longer” because of skin laxity towards the sides of my abdomen. I was told by Dr Koch that he was a “magician”, and I shouldn’t worry about the level of the scar even though he’d be removing so much skin. Postoperatively, I was stunned to discover the incision was not only above my bikini line, but also curled up both sides of my flanks. I was never told that there was even a possibility my incisions wouldn’t be concealable. During my postop visits, I vocalized my concerns about the level and length of the scars and that I hadn’t seen any improvement in my love handles. I was repeatedly told it was swelling and that the areas will “settle”. He also flippantly commented that they’d fade. Dr Koch stated he made the incisions up towards my flanks and not across the hips because I would develop dog ears and would not have been pleased. Besides asymmetrical, conspicuous scars, I still have a protruding lower abdomen, love handles, more laxity, stretch marks on my left side and DOG EARS. During my 6 mth appt, he and his team offered bodytite and morpheus8 to try to rectify my disappointing results. These are new procedures for his office, so I was skeptical and nervous. I asked if a rep from the company for the device be present. His coordinator stated it shouldn’t be a problem, she understood my concerns and she’d confirm their presence ASAP, which she never did. Despite my skepticism, I made the appt for these procedures. I didn’t have the money to go elsewhere. A mth later (a week before the appt), I was contacted by the office that Dr Koch wanted to meet with me regarding my treatment moving forward. The day after my scheduled appt I received a letter from Dr Koch. It stated that I had an “excellent” and “wonderful” result and that the incisions were made, “exactly” where they were supposed to be. He also concluded that I was chasing a body image that only existed in my mind. The image I was seeking was from his own website. He specified that I didn’t have any medical or surgical complications and was healthy. Does this equate to an aesthetically pleasing outcome after spending $9,100? Previously, I had asked if he ever performed these procedures on dark skinned black patients. I already experienced hypopigmentation from a steroid injection he administered to my umbilicus. Because of this question he stated in his letter, that our physician- patient relationship was damaged by my “racist” statements. He proceeded to inform me of his prior work with inner city communities, as if that was related to how these new procedures would affect my skin color. He also claims my “demand” for a rep was a reason as well. If he was so offended by a rep being present, why didn’t he deny the request initially. I believe he was just making excuses and absolving himself of any responsibility for my poor result. Unfortunately, I'm unable to upload photos on this website. Be very careful before choosing him for an abdominoplasty. I wish I hadn't
