A extremely informed Practioner - very well informed on almost all fields, enjoys his work and makes his patient's feel like they are the most important person -thus leading to confidence in the patients - His staff can also read minds and is also well informed. I was a mess medically and now I am forever grateful.

Dr. Shinnick has been my regular doctor for over a decade. I have a very wide choice of doctors available, so that says a lot. I could go elsewhere. I wouldn't. He is friendly, knowledgeable, professional and detail oriented. I am a "`1%" patient", one of the ones who does what the doctor tells them. It works perfectly with Dr. Shinnick. He encourages you to be forthcoming about your symptoms and illnesses. As I said in the beginning, I don't think you can do better.

I was a new patient of Dr. Shinnick and was not satisfied with his work ethics. He did not call to discuss the results of my blood work, when he assured me he would. His receptionist did not allow me to converse with him, she called me back later and said Dr. Shinnick wanted to know what my questions were. Totally inappropriate. What happened to patient confidentiality? Guess I will be looking for a new internist.

I have been using Dr Shinnick for years and have been very happy with him as my physician. I happen to know that he is a well respected board certified Doctor who was chief resident at St. Lukes/Roosevelt Hospital in NYC. His demeanor with me has been nothing but professional and caring. I would, and have, recommended him to many family and friends.

He took as much time as possible to try to get to the cause of my problem. I have never had a Dr. make me feel so comfortable and confident that he cared about getting to the root cause of what was bothering me. He's bright, thorough,caring and I recommend him highly to all my friends.

I was misdiagnosed by this doctor who was obviously more concerned with the fact that I had an on the job injury (workers comp) and it wasn't a usual insurance company. I was told that there was nothing wrong and yet I found out later that there were torn cartilages between my ribs. Thanks Doc!
