List of David Dormandy's Reviews
Great practice, smooth process, personable and knowledgeable providers.
Dr. Dormandy was my primary for a year. For most of that time he was great, sometimes I felt rather rushed during our visits, but generally he listened to my concerns and worked with me to resolve them. After my last appointment I immediately switched Drs. I asked about a weight loss treatment that had promising clinical trial results (saxenda/wegovy) and he dismissed it, basically just said those don't work and immediately pitched me his side hussle "work out program and meal plan" for like $250/month. I said no. In my opinion, that is extremely unethical and unprofessional. He then billed me an extra $80 for a "split visit" which was my free yearly physical, and apparently a "consultation" for that 45 second conversation about his weight loss program he sells on the side.
Very thorough very kind
The Staff was very pleasant, and I am starting over with a new Primary Doctor. I met Dr. Dormandy, and we went over my Prescriptions, where to go if I need refills, set up an appt for an Annual Physical, and Blood work, which is done at the Essjay office. No more visits to Quest Diagnostics. The Appointment went well, and I am looking forward to working with my new Primary Doctor.
I have been in for 2 routine check ups and don’t have any significant health colossuses. Dr Dormandy seems professional, interested in my health, and knowledgeable. I think he’s a fine doctor. I haven’t interacted with him enough to give him 5 stars but I’m confident I’ll get 5 star service when I need it.
Very satisfied Explained many things to me highly recommend Dr. Dormandy very pleasant and professional he took the time and I appreciate that thank you
Had my yearly visit and reviewed information, and also received a flu vaccine and pneumonia vaccine.
It's going on two years since my first visit with Dr Dormandy, and as a 66 yr old man, I couldn't have found a better match! Kind, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. Have complete trust in him.
My mother saw Dr. Dormandy maybe 4-5 times in total before we found a new PCP for her. My mother has dementia, so I regularly accompany her to medical visits. The first few visits were okay and I thought I would give him the benefit of the doubt for having a stressed day or something, but ultimately he was dismissive, had poor eye contact, just kept his eyes fixed on his computer, and rushed through appointments. I get that dementia is a difficult illness to deal with, but he came off as rude and inexperienced in communicating with someone who is not neurotypical. He also became visibly annoyed at me asking for his help in renewing FMLA paperwork so I could keep my employment and be a primary caregiver. Clearly he connects with other patients based on other reviews, but for patients with a presentation similar to my mother, I truly would not recommend him as a good fit.
My experience with this physician has been very negative based upon his very subtle and brief doctor appointments. He did not thoroughly check my symptoms. He does not take blood work unless asked. He also rushes you through the process. He is very negative in his attitude based on his body language. These are the negative aspects I’ve grown to notice. If you are looking for someone who truly cares about you, I would recommend a more experienced physician.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
