Irada Shapiro's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Irada Shapiro is a horrible doctor and will NOT be seeing her again. Made me wait 2 hours for my appointment. Was in the room with me for not even 5 minutes. Spent more time looking at her phone and taking personal calls. Did not explain well what medication will be given and instructions. Does not care about her patients, speaks aggressively and rude and just wants to get your appointment over with as soon as possible.

Nov 2019 I went to see this doctor because I had a Bartholins cyst. She saw me after 40 min waiting in the room. She said im ok. Then after 2 months I saw Dr. Ravins Claudia she said I need to removed that cyst. Dr saphiro doesn't deserve to be a gyn. So sad

Dr Shapiro absolutely unprofessional, not explaining anything, don’t talk , don’t answered , very aggressive and I think she wants to finished with patients in a 30 sec from beginning, very weird doctor!!! Not recommended

So this was years ago. But still goes down as the most humiliating experiences of my life... I came in for a pap. I had another minor issue as well to discuss. She then went into the hallway and loudly (I could hear clearly through the door and around the corner) her loudly telling the assistant what was up with me. Didn’t call me patient, called me by my name. The assistant made a ignorant comment about it and Dr. Shapiro followed up with her own negative personal opinion before returning to the room. Blabbing in the hallway right next to the room. I should have complained about her clearly breaking HIPPA and making personal comments so loudly but I never wanted to show my face again. I got dressed and left in utter disgust. Do NOT go to this one.

Broke HIPPA blabbing about me and my condition loudly in the hallway to another employee. Yelling out what she needs for me. Added her own personal non medical opinions about it. Humiliating in the worst way.

Dr. Shapiro is INSENSITIVE and wants to rush you out. I went to her bcause I had an itch. I spoke prior with her assistant abt how I'm not sexually active & don't feel comfortable taking my pants off, her assistant said that was ok. However, Dr. Shapiro had a problem with that,came into the room barely introduced herself and said she cant diagnose me if she cant take a look, with an annoyed tone. She didn't make me feel comfortable but I let her take a look, she answered a two questions and left

First off, I just want to say her assistant is very sweet and spends a lot more time with you than she does. I was just seen by Dr. Irada Shapiro today and I felt very uncomfortable. I paid visit to the GYN because I have an itch and she came into the room and immediately wanted to rush me out. I spoke to her assistant previously and told her I'm not sexually active and she said "I assume you're uncomfortable with us checking you" like in other words, you're uncomfortable taking your pants off and having us check you. So I said yeah I don't want to do that, and she said that was fine. Dr. Shapiro came into the room, barely introduced herself, and said "Okay so you have an itch? And you don't feel comfortable with us taking a look right?" So I said no I'm not comfortable. She said in a very annoyed tone "Well, I cannot diagnose you if I can't take a look. You can't diagnose something if you're not able to look at it." So I said "Okay, I guess I'll do it." I asked "do I just put this napkin over me?" And when I looked up she was already halfway out the room and the assistant answered for her. She came back in and took a look, said nothing looked unusual, and didn't prescribe or recommend anything for my itch. She told me that's all, and rushed out the room. She barely communicated with me, was completely INSENSITIVE, and didn't even try making me feel comfortable about taking off my pants and underwear.

Doesn’t spend time with you. Assistant is with you more then she is. Doesn’t answer questions doesn’t explain test results. Horrible long wait

I will NEVER go back to Raveco Medical after my experience with this Dr. I went last year for a standard annual check up and her demeanor was rushed and wanting to get it done. She asked me minimal questions which I found strange considering I was a new patient. Long story short I had to go to a a gynecological oncologist based on my results. This doctor was uncaring and couldn't even be bothered to give me a referral except to say call the Sloan Kettering referral line. Terrible experience!

I've been to some pretty bad gynos but I'm pretty sure "Dr" Irada Shapiro is the worst one thus far. She spends her time complaining and gossiping with the in professional staff outside the office. She talks about vacationing and how she's so tired. I've witnessed this myself while I waited over 3 hours to see her. Then when she finally sees you it's for about 2 very rushed minutes. Worst part was that she didn't tell me that I needed a sonogram and made me miss it for my pregnancy. Worst!!!
