After waiting almost a year to get an in-person appointment, the office called me and told me that the in-person appointment has to be a phone visit. I had no choice because they could not fit me in any sooner. On that phone visit, I stated that I wanted to go on a CGM. Yes, Yes, Yes I was told. After the phone visit, a couple of months later I had my first in-person visit. Nothing was said about CGM. I asked about diet, nothing was said. After one year of seeing Dr. Lama she never even asked me how I was fixed with Insulin! A waist of my time.

Dr. Lama is very compassionate, and took her time finding out how I was feeling, and everything else that matters to a patient. My daughter is one of her patients as well. Just one visit, so far, and I have complete confidence in her! The office staff are very kind and helpful!

There is not a better Doctor out there in any field. She is compassionate, trustworthy and great with communication. She listens to what you have to say. She has guided me through my diabetes for over ten years and has helped me both physically as well as the mental part of the disease. If you need an endocrinologist she is worth traveling many miles to get to.

Dr. Lama has been treating me for several years. She is excellent in her care, treatment and attention. I would highly recommend her and continue to follow her to Presbyterian Hospital from Northern Medical. Hopefully the office atmosphere at NY Presbyterian will be as accommodating.

After my mothers hospitalization, I was told by the nurse that she would have to send the doctor an email to request an ok to overbook an appointment for my mother. I am sorry but this is unacceptable for someone who has been her patient for years. Needless to say, we will be looking for another physician.
