List of Akron Children's Hospital's Reviews
The cleanliness of the waiting room is absolutely absurd. I have never seen a hospital area so dirty. Caked on dirt from DAYS, trash absolutely everywhere. Like I’m talking NASTY. So disgusting. You’d think a place for sick kids, would be, uh, cleaned sometimes? Guess not!!
I took a client and they said she could go home and she was fine. She ended up being hospitalized for almost 2 weeks afterwards.
I understand how hard working in emergency room can be, but it’s not an emergency room. Nobody care.
My grandson had to go to this ER. I saw all the bad reviews, and this was not our experience. From the start to finished everyone was so kind and treated my grandson so gentle. They explained everything that they were going to do. He was scared and not feeling good. Renee, his nurse, was phenomenal. She needs to be recognized for the amazing care she gave. Also, Dr. Scott and resident Anu were amazing. We thank you so much for everything. Dr. Scott even got ahold of my daughter the next day to check on my grandson. I am so impressed with everyone we encountered. Thank you from our whole family. 1-21-24
Being terrificed and force to walk through metal detector while my child's suffering with low oxygen levels being made to set down her emergency equipment and leave for unattended so that I could be Terry first and have a metal wand ran over my body just so I can have my kid in the hospital seems kind of unethical don't you think. Treating patients and patience parents like prisoners is wrong and should be beneath a hospital I was raised in Akron it's not that dangerous that was an absolute violation of my privacy and impeded the ability of care I could give to my child you should really rethink police stop you at an emergency entrance It kind of defeats the purpose and gets in the way of an emergency don't you think

Waited in the ER waiting room for 4 hours!! The triage nurses and reception area nurses were exceptionally rude!! Very disappointed.
Holy nurse shortage, batman! I hope my kid never has another emergency during non urgent care hours.

Thank you to all the staff from our family! You guys were AMAZING! Our son Presten was very sick this morning. The amount of love and care that was shown to us made us feel like he was in good hands! You guys are the true heroes❤️ we were able to take him home with a little smile! It means the world! I ask whoever takes care of raises and bonuses or whatever they ALL deserve it! Merry Christmas to all!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
