Been seeing him for a while now. Was seen by him a couple weeks ago about pain and swelling in my leg same as always doesn't think I have an infection.... Well now I'm in the hospital AGAIN for an infection... If he would have done tests as well as xrays I might have had to take oral antibiotics instead of having to leave work and go to the ER and be admitted ?? ??

Suffered a pilon fracture of my tibia and a fracture of my fibula (ankle). Had an internal fixator installed followed my ORIF surgery with multiple plates and screws. I was, and still am, very impressed with the outcome of my ORIF surgery by Dr. Miller. He is very personal and took a genuine interest in my recovery. I feel very fortunate to have him as my surgeon. His staff is also friendly and courteous. Highly recommended!

I went to see Dr. Miller for my fractured ankle and he was awsome. He listened and he wanted and did what was best for me at my own pace. Will definitely recommend ❤

I have spoken on the phone two days in a row with Dr. Miller's staff. I have never been talked to in such a condescending manner in my life. I was talked to both days like I was a child and I did not appreciate it. I am a college educated Registered Nurse but that should not matter. Every patient should be treated with respect on the phone when they have questions or a problem. I love Dr. Miller, he is amazing but his office staff leaves much to be desired.

He is the most patient and down to earth Dr. He has a great bedside manner. My husband has had serious trauma twice and he has taken care of him twice. When he had problems again, he got him in same day!! This man really cares about his patients!!

I fell off my motorcycle while on a steep hill and landed awkwardly. There was severe pain in my knee and ankle upon landing. X-rays at the nearest Urgicare showed multiple fractures just above my ankle. The staff at Urgicare recommended I call an orthopedic immediately to set up an appointment and get an mri as my knee was severely bruised, swollen, and couldn’t bear weight.I called Summa orthopedic & sports medicine (park west blvd., Akron), explained my injuries and they suggested I have my appointment with Dr. Eric Miller since he was a trauma surgeon.The soonest he could see me was a week after my accident. I was examined by a resident first. Dr. Miller saw my Urgicare xrays, the boot that they gave me (from my ankle to my knee) and handled my leg a bit.I told him that wearing the boot caused a lot of pain in my knee, that my knee has buckled on me several times. He said it’s likely trauma from the fall. I asked about getting an mri and he replied that they’re expensive, I shouldn’t expect to be pain free just yet. Then he said to make an appointment to be seen in 6 weeks by his physician assistant.I went through hell during those weeks as it was impossible to get comfortable enough to sleep and the boot that protected my fractures was adding extra stress to my knee.At my six week follow up, the PA, Nick Luisi listened as I spoke of continued knee pain and asked me to bend my knee. He examined it further then ordered an mri (another week wait for that appointment). Once he saw the results, only THEN did my injuries get taken seriously. A ruptured ACL, tears in both sides of my meniscus, severe bone contusions & more.It was explained by Nick and my physical therapists that the best course of action would have been for me to have had a shorter boot for my ankle fractures and a brace for my knee given to me at my initial visit with Dr. Miller. Instead, he spent a total of 5 minutes with me and was dismissive of my knee injuries. But he charged a shi@&*load of money for his ‘expertise.’Nick was terrific and worked to gain my trust.Dr. Miller showed no concern, even after learning of the diagnosis.His ego is big; compassion and humility gone.

Unfortunately, I've been seeing Dr Miller for over a year now due to a car accident. Pilon fracture right ankle and broke left femur and knee. He has been wonderful! He answers all of my questions no matter how petty they may seem to me and explains everything very clearly. His staff is also excellent and has helped with getting me all the necessary paperwork I've needed for various reasons. If I ever need something done in the future I'll be going to him.

Dr. Eric Miller treated /treating me for a Pilon Fracture with an opened wound.(Shattered Ankle requiring an external fixator) , From day 1 , Dr. Miller has taken the time to explain each plan of care regarding my treatment , Seven (7) surgical procedures to date and has even called me from home concerning pin site infection issues that were missed by my Home Healthcare Nurse after he reviewed photo's that were emailed to him. As a Law Enforcement Retiree , I would Highly Recommend Dr. Miller.

Good Luck, you can never get anyone to answer his phone so leave your message & never get a call back. Not good for questions after the operation, to get pain meds or a question about pain or how much to walk or when hurting any other question after the surgery. I feel like that is all they wanted is the money for that operation. I am trying to get another doctor & I can not get through by phone to get my records I cry & I am so hurting.
