Stay away!!! I was left with permanent nerve damage and drop foot. Can't tell you how much I never met this guy or his staff that made one mistake after another. My suture split open on the way back from them removing my splint. I have had many surgeries and never had such an awful doctor. I am in pain all day every day. He has made my life terrible!
I deeply regret surgery by Jeff Junko. I had hoped for my foot to be better and now I am looking at possible permanent damage from surgery. Nearly a year after surgery I have nerve damage which he said he could do nothing for. My advice find another doctor but stay away from Junko!!!
Horrible experience! I have nerve damage, limp and have a brace 10 months after surgery from Junko. I went in for an Achilles calcification problem and now have a nightmare of a life going to other better doctors trying to fix his mess. My foot is partially numb, my big toe sticks up and I am in pain all day from this. He did nothing to help fix it after the problem and his staff screwed up simple things like sending in a prescription calling me back and sending over reports. He even referred me to a doctor he admitted he never met. My incision broke open bleeding on the way home from stitch removal, day 12. He kept saying it will get better trust me ; it has not . Finally he said he can do nothing and admitted there may be nerve damage. My advice stay away! I deeply regret having surgery with him and it has ruined my life.
Nerve damage; life is so much WORSE after Junko!!Now taking meds PT and a leg brace due to him not needed prior to surgery. Waited to see him almost an hour one time, terrible staff can't call back or send documents. Still in pain and can't walk properly 9 months after surgery and having life altering problems, unable to sleep and limping. He gave up, sent me to a pain doc rather than helping. I went to Cle Clinic and a much better experience. He should be avoided and not be a surgeon in my opinion!! I have had many surgeries and doctors and never had such a horrible experience.
I have had multiple ankle surgeries! Including 2 total ankle replacements. I have nothing but praise for this doctor. The procedure is a long process, and not easy. Dr. Junko, and his staff, were very supportive, explained step by step what to expect and what they expected of me. My quality of life is greatly improved. Looking forward to continued pain free activity.
My foot is worse now than it was before surgery. He offered no alternative and I always felt like he wished I would just go away. So I did and I found a different doctor who did care who showed me how the surgery could have been done better. With proper footwear, PT and orthotics I am at least functional. Junko not once looked at my footwear. His post op care was a joke. My nerve block took 6 days to wear off. Thank God I had a wheelchair. My follow up wasn’t for almost three weeks and the flimsy bandages which I was told to leave on were a filthy slimy mess. Crystal Clinic is run so much better. Go there.
I was left with a drop foot and severe neuropathic pain after surgery because he left the tourniquet on too long. All he offered was acetaminophen. He really didn’t care. A year later I had sudden severe pain. He just dismissed it and said I needed to walk more. I went to another doctor and I had a stress fracture! How could a foot ortho miss something that obvious?
After he did surgery I had a foot drop and severe pain. Caused by the tourniquet being on too tight and/or too long, damaging nerves. He really didn’t seem to care. A year later I developed a new severe pain in the midfoot. He said I just needed to walk more! Went to another doctor and I had a stress fracture. Isn’t that a pretty basic diagnosis for a foot ortho? The new doctor actually examined my shoes and realized I had the wrong size. Junko never looked at my footwear.
We have known him for 14 years he's a GREAT Doctor, he just amputated my husband's toe, he did such a great job, my husband felt NO pain, would & will recommend him!! Couldn't have found a better doctor!! Harry & Sam Drew
Incredibly kind physician. Beautiful repair on my foot. Excellent follow up

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
