I had to go to the emergency room for sciatica all she gave me was a shot of toradol and a muscle relaxer that didn't help and she made me do a urine test when I told her I've had this pain before from my herniated disc in my back that was pushing on my sciatic nerve. She didn't seem to care and when I asked her why she did a urine test she got all defensive and took her a few minutes to answer and she never told me the results of my urine test.
Our experience with Akron General, Stow, emergency was terrible. Our experience was similar to what was described by Brian in a google review. I had severe abdominal pain so bad that I had no sleep in 4 days even with Vicoden for pain. At Akron General they get you in and out of there as fast as possible and are not concerned with making a diagnosis. The doctor MD Kate Lyren-Sondles stood as far away in the room as possible with her arms folded and suggested that I had a mental health issue rather than a physical problem causing abdominal pain. I guessed that my problem was severe gastritis and have managed to control it with OTC meds. and those ordered by a GI doctor until I can get follow up treatment from the GI doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
