Summa Ophthalmology's Online Review Report Card

I beg that you check with your insurance and schedule with an eye doc outside of summa. I saw Bette Anderson and from the start of the appointment she was belligerent and would not let me speak almost as if she was actively refusing to engage respectfully. Setting her disgusting behavior aside, she claimed to a see a serious medical condition and sent me to the ER also going as far to say I would lose my vision. I was petrified and left this office in tears. This woman told me "stop crying" and spoke repeatedly about her vacation. Due to her findings I had to get a spinal tap when I expressed my fear before rushing to the ER she said "You're going the the hospital, I'm going on vacation but (shrug) that's life" and left the room.The ER doctor, my primary doctor, the referring doctor and optometrist all strongly disagreed with her "findings" and did not even see what she claimed to have saw in my eyes. This experience has left me with many panic attacks and sleepless nights, I was treated horribly and cannot, in good faith, recommend that anyone go to this office or see this provider. I've sought care outside of summa for my eyes. If this were the last Opthalmology clinic on the planet, I would still consult with a can of Dr. Pepper rather than a doctor here.

Was hung up on and they kept ignoring my calls it was a foreign Asian lady when she couldn't answer questions...Very unprofessional

After I waited a month for my appointment with optometrist dr Kelly for my eye measurement and calculations so i could have my cataract procedure done, wasted one hour there they put me thru 2 different machines ,one was with running water thru my eyes while some suction cup was on my eyeball at the end the tech told me I was all done and i could leave, and she would send the info to my surgeon , well first they send info to the wrong place and not immediately , Well they sent also info more my right eye and not the left eye Making a long story short i have to go to a different doctor for the measurements Again! I don’t know why this so called professionals even buther to waste people time What ever happened to professionalism!? Im disappointed in Summa!!

We been going there for years very nice and every buddy work there are great.

Had a glacouma test; they NEVER told me the results! May GOD Have Mercy On them.

I just love these Dr.'s and nurses, the entire medical staff is so wonderful. They make you feel comfortable. I don't know about you but, I don't like my eyes getting poked at. I just happened to have a vein stroke, 2 of them. Very very scary. During this pandemic too. And having NO ONE to understand.... Well, it's horrible. These people are good people.

Good doctors, thorough and respectful

It was my first time at this location and I loved my visit!! Friendly staff!! Katelyn and McCabe were awesome with my eye exam thank you so much !
