Very nice Dr. :)

I have spent years struggling with chronic pain, and as I get older - like most of my peers - some of my diagnoses (like my bad knees) are getting worse instead of better. In recent years, I’ve really struggled to move past my medical trauma (which makes me fearful to even ask for help) and body size stigmas (I’ve gained over 100lbs due to arthritis, breathing issues and COVID in the past year)...but I keep experiencing the same traumatic things. Until, that is, until I was referred to Dr. Barker.Dr. Barker listened to me. When I tried to “streamline” my medical history, he stopped me and asked me to tell him about the trauma I’d experienced. He knew and understood what I was talking about, and rather than blowing me off, he validated my experience. He did what needed to be done after thoroughly reviewing my MRI’s, my chart and my verbal history. Right then, in his office. He explained what’s happening, what to expect next, and what I can do to help myself. He was kind, he was humane, and he treated me like an intelligent human being and the expert on my experience in my body. It shouldn’t be so rare to have this experience but it is...and I sat the room and cried happy tears when it was over.Not only was Dr. Barker incredible, but so was his staff...encouraging, friendly, professional. They found information for me to share with my husband, told me not to get flustered and rushed and to take my time. They also told me not to let my pain keep me locked in my house for four months...to come in and let them help. And they told me how they can help. And I didn’t feel judged or undermined or discriminated against.Incredible experience - I’m very grateful!! Thank you, Dr. Barker!!

Dr. Barker and his staff were wonderful before and after my meniscus tear surgery. He listens carefully and makes me feel comfortable.

Saw Dr Barker for a knee issue. He was great! He spent time with me in the appointment asking about how I injured it, what my normal activity level is an so on. He thoroughly explained the next steps and answered all my questions. As soon as my test results were finished he actually called me to go over them.

I had the best experience with my surgery. Everything was explained to me and I completely trusted Dr Barker

My GP referred me to Orthopedic ONE after my left knee had been quite sore for several weeks. I chose Dr. William Barker, based on several testimonials that I found. He found a torn meniscus and suggested arthroscopic surgery. I had this surgery about 16 years ago and remembered laying on the couch for a week with a swollen, tender knee. The surgery went extremely well and I was walking without crutches that evening. The next day I removed the bandages from my leg & walked without any aids. After 2 1/2 weeks of the knee progressively feeling better, I biked 8 miles to the gym, swam a half mile and biked home. Needless to say, I'm a big fan! Not only did the surgery go well, I found that he takes the time to fully explain things to his patients. It's almost to the point that when he is talking to you in an exam room you start to feel guilty about how much of his time you are taking and you wonder why he is not rushing out of the room like so many other doctors do.

Excellent facility Dr Barker is a excellent doc. I will return to him for any future orthopedic needs
