Poor body language and professional conduct. Could not keep his emotions under control when pressed with more difficult questions. Just not prepared or lacks more critical thinking. There are better doctors to choose from.

Very average/below average doctor. Look for a better doctor and don’t give this guy an opportunity. He hasn’t kept up with his knowledge or critical thinking of his speciality and that is evident in his practice. He is sloppy with his appearance, conduct, and is not prepared technically on more acute medical issues. A hack that somehow made it through medical school.

Excellent surgeon, great bedside manner. Replaced my hip and I was going up and down stairs 4 days later. I would highly recommend him. Could not have had any better care.

Dr. Bernhard did the right knee replacement on my wife 2 years ago. She has been in constant pain since this surgery. He accused her of seeking drugs, no, she just wanted to be pain free. Turns out that Dr. Bernhard didn’t cement the knee joint to the bones. She had to have another knee put in. Dr. Bernhard should not be practice medicine! Anybody know a good lawyer?

As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Bernhard demonstrates a great deal of skill in caring for patients. His knowledge, ability, professionalism, and genuine concern for healing my severe arm injury has been simply amazing. Further, he keeps patients well informed during each step of the treatment, from surgery to the aftercare. During my stay at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital, I was never in doubt as to whether I was receiving the absolute best of care from Dr. Bernhard as well as from the entire staff of medical professionals at the hospital. Upon receiving follow-up treatments, I soon learned that his office staff is highly trained, welcoming, and courteous. Dr. Bernhard provides excellence in orthopedic care and I can truly never thank him enough for fixing my shattered arm!

Had bilateral knee replacement. Right knee never had the bend it should of had. At 4 week visit I was treat so badly my wife and I both were in shock.Doctor would not listen to my concerns. After 8 months I asked for x-rays and was told to wait for the year visit. At the year visit he told me it was "text-book" surgery. NOT! Went to another surgeon for a 2nd opinion and needed revision knee replacement surgery after 15 months of being in pain. Would not go back to this doctor!!!

Dr Bernhardt did my double knee replacement! He was wonderful and so was his staff. They take really good care of you. I highly recommend him for your orthopedic needs.
