List of Cynthia Lavery Henry's Reviews
Where to begin. She diagnosed a scalp issue that CCF had mishandled. I’ll be forever grateful. However, good luck going in with multiple issues/questions. They want you to make a separate appointment for each issue. Ridiculous. Always feel rushed and the practice has become impersonal and money-driven. The last straw was when I inquired about skin treatments for my aging skin. She seemed genuinely surprised, like I was too old and decrepit to care about such things. I’m 61. I vowed not to return.
I am a Medicare with secondary Cigna 70 year old female . I went in for 2 main concerns and a third not as important that I’d been to a different dermatologist to a few years before. She came in carrying a “blowtorch” (with 2other women with her) and proceeded to address one issue, then froze spots on both sides of my face for what she said were “pre cancerous” spots. I thought she was going to use it on the “growth/wart” I was there about. I know my face and I never saw anything suspicious where she hurt me/used the blaster! She gave no treatment for the very noticible wart nor suggested what to do for it. I was intimidated by her “gang” and the pain she caused and subsequent scabbing have affected my opinion of her as possibly performing unnecessary work for more $$$$. Now I will read reviews to find a reputable dermatologist to help me.
I left Dr Henry’s office after being her patient for several years. Dr. Henry doesn’t know what basal cell looks like. When I went to a new doctor it turned out I had several areas of aggressive basal celI that required aggressive Mohs surgery. I think of her every morning when I look in the mirror. I had 6 surgeries, some disfiguring because of her lack of knowledge. Wouldn’t recommend her to anyone.
I had a skin screening with Dr. Henry and it required a follow-up biopsy the next week. When I went in for the biopsy, Dr. Henry did not recognize me and asked me why I was there. Poor, IMO, that a Dr. would not examine the chart before entering the room. APEX for me is s "production line" agency that's designed to maximize revenue. How long would it have taken to do the biopsy the first visit but, I'm sure, another appointment pays more....
I wish I could go back in time and stop myself from seeing Dr. Henry. She is selfish, mean, condescending, and greedy. Her office staff is lazy, rude, and beyond disorganized. They messed up my perscriptions, my name, my insurance, my contact info, and almost every single thing you would think is so basic that a kid could do it. I should know. I worked the same job as a high school student. Their excuse for an office is run by people who give their patients 5% of their time and energy. The cherry on top of it all is that they blame the patient when anything goes wrong. I spent two hours at the office today. The first hour was wasted because they could not process my insurance. It turned out they just needed to make one call to their billing office. The second hour was wasted waiting AGAIN. I waited the two hours just to be turned away, at the end of their work day. They lost me today. I put up with a lot with them, but I hope someone reads this and does not waste their time with Dr. Henry or Apex Dermatology. What a sorry excuse for a person, company, and doctor.
Do not waste your time with this sorry excuse for a doctor. She cares only about your money. She will make you wait 2 hours before turning you away. She will only ask about your money or insurance without regard for your progress. She will send your medications to the wrong place, give you the wrong prescription, make countless mistakes, and reschedule you without letting you know. For the love of God find another doctor. She barely qualifies for that title. Beyond that, she and everyone over at Apex Dermatology show little to any humanity or compassion.
I've been seeing Dr. Henry for years. She always takes allot of time with me - explains everything and all options. Highly recommend.
Dr. Henry is good but it's near impressive to get an appointment. I had to reschedule an appointment, and I've been calling for 6 weeks trying to get through, leaving voicemails that usually get no response. No one ever seems to answer the phone over there. It's no good going to a good doctor if you can't get in!
Dr. Henry is very nice and helpful. I followed her from another practice to here.
Barely looked at my skin, did not look at my scalp at all. Double billed me, never submitted my appointment to the hospital records or my insurance. Still trying to get my money back from 2018....do not go to her. She is a poor doctor and a thief.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
