Very arrogant Does Not Listen to patient
Dr Donigian did my right knee replacement and did an incredible job. His bedside manner is top notch. I highly recommend him.
Very personable, knowledgeable and thorough. Provided solutions that did not involve surgery. Very inpressed.
I was fortunate that Dr. D. was able to get me in the day after my injury and schedule my surgery for the next day. Hopefully the recovery goes as well as the office visit and surgery did.
Went to see him re a meniscus tear, and in the process of repairing it he removed virtually all the cartilage in one compartment of my knee, even though I had told him repeatedly that I was not in any pain. Found out later from two orthopedic surgeon's that what he did was unnecessary, controversial, and reckless. His rash decision has left me in constant pain and has changed the alignment of my leg, so now I need a knee replacement. I'll be going to another provider for this, needless to say.
He has been my physician for approximately 5 years. I had shoulder surgery. He did an excellent job.
I had the same experience another complained about. Surgery for torn meniscus was scheduled , after Dr D informed us he scraped away all the arthritis on my knee. After two session of painful withdrawal of fluids and injections, he X- rated my knee. He said he saw nothing wrong and strongly advised an MRI. I have pain 90%of the time. A second Dr. showed me the X ray which was clearly bone on bone. Now I am scheduled for a knee replacement!!
Dr. Dunigian was kind and caring UNTIL I had problems post op arthroscopic knee surgery. He said the swelling was due to irration from the surgery but I was fine and would never need a knee replacement. I had fluid removed and an injection in my knee .The treatment relieved my swelling and pain for only two weeks. When I return an X-ray showed only some arthritis. He said I need a. MRI and another surgery. I refused the MRI due to medical reasons. He said as I was 70 years old , I should go ahead and take a chance (of complications from the MRI) because of my age. He then painfully withdrew more fluid and gave me a another injection. While he and I were discussing my treatments and I stated my opinion , he told my husband (who was in the room) to "put a cork in her mouth..just kidding". I can say I have never been so disrespected by a Doctor. I a still having the same problem with my knee .After seeing the X-ray report I realize I do need surgery. Needless to say I will be changing Doctors.
Had a torn labrum and had surgery and was told he didn't stitch it because it was healing itself, 7 months later just got an MRI and it's still torn. Need surgery again.
He diagnosed my left hip when another Dr could not and preformed a hip replacement and everything went great and it still going great 10 years later.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
