A one star is giving too much credit. I went in for my annual exam and no pregnancy test was given, during my exam she did not catch that I was about 7-9 weeks pregnant. Once I got to be 22 weeks pregnant I became very ill she told me I was a nervous first time pregnant lady and I just had bad heart burn. She IGNORED all my symptoms of being extremely swollen, having pains in my upper abdomen, not being able to keep any food down to give my baby nutrition, blood vessels popping when I would cough or sneeze. At 24 weeks I was diagnosed with HELLP syndrome and was in critical condition. My daughter was delivered and we stayed in the NICU 142 days fighting for her life while I also fought for mine for.a week recovering from HELLP syndrome that was IGNORED by this doctor. If you want any support and to be treated like a decent human being I highly recommend finding a different provider.

Very friendly, but didn’t know much about birth control and premenstrual disorders. She’s one of those doctors that doesn’t seem to think birth control has side effects and doesn’t believe women about said side effects. She dismissed my side effects from the birth control I was on. If you go to her and ask for a birth control pill, you will get Loestrin FE because she said that’s the one she prescribes to all of her patients (I’m assuming she just doesn’t know much about other pills besides that one). Different women need different birth control pills, we’re not all the same. Based on other reviews, she seems great at delivering babies and I can see that with how friendly she is. But she’s definitely dismissive about birth control side effects and menstrual disorders. If you have specific questions about birth control or are having hormonal issues, do not see Dr. Lasota because that’s not where her knowledge seems to be. I only added another star to her rating because she will sterilize women in their 20s without question, and I highly respect doctors that will do that.

Dr. LaSota is amazing. I am a first time mom and switched to her due to issues with my previous doctor. Dr. LaSota has exceeded my expectations. She explains everything thoroughly and takes time to answer any questions you may have. She is kind, observant, and makes sure you are taken care of. I know my baby and I's health is in good hands with her!

It took me a while to find a doctor that made me feel comfortable and welcome! Dr. LaSota as well as her staff are awesome, they listen and give the best advice. Dr. LaSota really strives to give the best care possible to each of her patients.

While under the care of Dr LaSota for my high risk pregnancy and Birth is my son (Southwest General). Throughout the entire pregnancy Dr LaSota was extremely thorough, caring, compassionate, and attentive. She made sure that all of my questions were answered and I felt comfortable and safe the entire step of the way. On several occasions Dr LaSota personally called me to check on me at home, and to return my call with an answer. Truly one of the very best doctors out there!

Dr. Emily LaSota is by far one of the best OBGYN doctors I have been a patient of. She has been nothing but attentive, kind, and thoughtful in taking the time to answer all of my various questions and needs. My husband and I went through IVF and are currently expecting our first child and she has been very helpful through the entire process. I would highly recommend.

I'm one of Dr. LaSota's patients at University Hospitals just outside of Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. LaSota has provided me with the best care I've ever received from a physician. She takes her time with patients, answers all questions, is always kind and compassionate, and she and her entire staff truly care about all of their patients. I've had a few emergency situations and they see me right away. Doctor LaSota once even called me on the phone herself when I was having an issue. She has always provided me with excellent, careful care and respect. I've had some complex situations occur and Dr. LaSota knows how to handle them with professionalism and humility. She's professional, she's incredibly bright, and she will take good care of you. I can't recommend her highly enough.
