List of Heather Marie Owens Md's Reviews
My husband & I are already patients of Dr Owens. We were so pleased with her that we chose to transfer our 3 children to her office for care. The receptionist I spoke with was extremely helpful with finding appointments for all 3 of them even though I had to switch them around (twice) to avoid interfering with exam schedules. We were in the exam room within 5 min of our appt time & Dr Owens & her nurse took their time, making sure to address any concerns that were brought up by me or the kids.
For a long time I really liked and frequently recommended Dr. Owens. After a few years though, the wait time became completely ridiculous. 30 min in the waiting area, and another 30 in the exam room. Bad enough being there for an adult, but try that with a sick child. Even going for the first appointment of the day when you'd think you wouldn't have to wait long. The staff is not very friendly. Dr. Owens is friendly but way overscheduled. No call-backs re test results.
The problem is mostly with her staff. But Dr Owens will not go above and beyond to get you your test results, call you back so you can ask a question, any many other reasons. Took the wrong dosage of medicine for a year, because she didn't make sure that me or the pharmacy knew that I was talking only half the amount I was supposed to be taking. Had a problem where my daughters blood pressure was really high and it took a day before I found out she needs to stop taking her medication.
The staff members there are very rude. It is not the Dr. fault in anyway, but the staff members need to change there attitudes very much.
Wonderful doctor who listens to her patients!
I find her very stand offish and cool. She doesn't come of very sympathetic. Speak to her of serous losses in your life and she brushes it aside. Pushes for testing regardless of your ability to cover the cost. I thought at first she was going to be great but as time go by I like her bed side manner less and less.
Dr. Owens is a wonderful doctor. Her office staff leaves a lot to be desired. They are rude and less than helpful more often than not.
Dr. Owens is absolutely wonderful. She's extrememly kind and patient. The wait time however is hideous. I've NEVER experienced a 25 minute wait time as another patient has stated. If I am the first patient on her schedule for a morning appt (8am) I generally sit in the waiting room for at least 30-40 minutes before I am called back. Then once I am back it's at least another 20-30 minute wait until she comes in. I've gotten into the habit of asking the assistant if she has arrived yet. Generally they will say no not yet.My time is extremly valuable to me and will be looking for another Dr. soon. The front office is "ok". I did have a MRI done and I called several times for the results with no return call. This test was incredibly important and was already on pins and needles waiting for the results. It took about 2 months until I FINALLY got an answer. That is scary. VERY unprofessional and uncaring of the staff. But, I suppose when a person makes $8.00 per hr, who would care, right???
The staff can be rude and you may have a long wait, but Dr.Owens is an excellent dr for the whole family and well worth the wait.
The administration department can be a little short. Dr. Owens made up the difference.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
