I received excellent treatment and care from Dr. Nerad. He definitely put me at ease and thoroughly explained the procedure I’m having done. I’m very excited and looking forward to being able to see again. I would highly recommend Dr. Nerad and the Cincinnati Eye Institute.

Lovely experiences, lovely atmosphere. Shout out to Dr. Nerad! If it wasn't for Dr. Nerad fixing numerous botched surgeries on my left eye, I'd still be unable to see out of my left eye. He did in one surgery what all other doctor's told me was impossible. I am so grateful to him. He has improved my eye to where I look like myself again. I am just in awe of his talent. He is the real deal y'all. Trust your eyelid issues to this man!

I had an appointment with Dr. Nerad yesterday. I was nervous and he made me feel very comfortable . I had all my questions answered and was confident about my decision to have surgery. My experience was very pleasant.

Dr Nerad is the greatest he know what he a professional

I was referred to Dr. Nerad by the surgeon who performed MOHS surgery for skin cancer on my lower eye lid. At the first consultation with Dr. Nerad, he said that this would be an "EASY" procedure. He again said this on the day of surgery when he saw what the MOHS surgeon had cut out of my eye lid. Well, it didn't go so "EASY". There was a great deal of swelling i the eye brow area which was expected. But when the swelling hadn't improved at my post surgery visit, the resident assured me that it would be better in a few weeks. It didn't get better in a few weeks. On a return visit, Dr. Nerad said that sometimes a "dam" blocks the fluid from letting the swelling go down. In addition on this visit, I showed him the growth that had developed on my eye lid. He said it was a granuloma and he could snip it off which he did. I returned a few weeks later showing him that the swelling was still there and that the granuloma had grown back. He snipped it again and once again assured me that the swelling would go away. Fortunately the granuloma did not grow back again but as the swelling went down, the eye brow skin that had been swollen drooped so that it interfered with the vision in my eye. Dr. Nerad said that he could do a simple (sounds familiar) procedure above the eye brow so the skin wouldn't interfere with my vision. At this point, the original surgery had been done three months prior. It's amazing that such an "EASY" procedure took several months before Dr. Nerad suggested that a second surgery was required to fix the problems caused by his initial surgery. Due to scheduling conflicts, the second surgery was done several months after this last conversation. The second surgery had an acceptable result. In spite of Dr. Nerad's assurances this experience was not "EASY". To top it off, I've been billed for the office visit and the surgery for this second procedure which should have never had to be performed if the first surgery was so "EASY".
