List of J. Andrew Marakas's Reviews
Dr Marakas has been my doctor for years. I think he's terrific. Keeps me healthy and when I do get sick, his diagnosis is always correct.
Have seen Dr. Marakas for over ten years. His bedside manner is unmatchable, incredibly knowledgeable and up to date with the latest research, compassionate, and always remembers my personal and medical history. Wait time between arrival and going to patient room is always less than ten minutes but usually under 5. Length of visit dependent on care required; Dr. never rushes and is very thorough. My ONLY SINGLE complaint-about the office, not doctor- is that phone hold time usually is ten minutes or longer. I can usually plan accordingly and schedule calls with that in mind, but may be a turn off for new patients.

If I could leave no stars I would, but that is not how this system works. Dr. Marakas should retire because he is clearly senile and has no knowledge of current medicine. He makes poor decisions based on misinformation, and snap judgement's without reviewing medical history, especially if it is on the weekend or an emergency. I will never go back to see Dr Marakas or seek any medical help from his office. I suggest you do the same.
Getting someone on the phone is the worst ever. Call day after day and sit on hold for 10 or 20+ minutes every time. Drs. are great but they definitely need more people to answer the phones.
The greatest doctor of all time!
Dr Marakas has been our family doctor for years. He has helped my wife through Non Hodgekins Lymphoma and pneumonia. He just recently referred me to a urologist because my PSA was slightly high. After a biopsy, we found cancer...but very early (Thanks to Dr Marakas) and I am undergoing treatment. His diagnoses are always right on the money and he refers us to the best specialists in the area.
Dr Marakas has been our family doctor for years. He always refers us to the BEST specialists. He just recently tested my PSA, it was only slightly high, but he referred me to a urologist who did a biopsy and found early stages of prostate cancer. I am now undergoing treatment. It was found early and my prognosis is good. He has helped my wife through Non Hodgekins lymphoma and bouts with pneumonia.
Dr Marakas has been my health care provider since 1990 and I would not care to ever change. He is a good listener and works with me on any issues that affect my health, and well being. 2 thumbs up!!!
I would never call Dr. Marakas rude or arrogant. He is an awfully sweet person, albeit very introverted, and has always been very nice to our family. I think he is quite intelligent and am glad he's my doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
