I saw Dr Pantelakis several times for an emergency and he was competent & had a friendly personality. However, when I called his office and spoke with his receptionist it was a nightmare. She insisted that I speak with the office manager who demanded to know how I intended to pay for the visit since I am self-insured. I always pay the bill in full on the spot - but she first refused to make me an appointment, then insisted on me paying $300 in advance, in cash, and to her before seeing the doctor. As a retired physician, I am financially comfortable and have np problem paying for whatever. I've paid the bill in full after seeing Jim in the past and am able to pay whatever the bill is but she treated me so rudely and was so nasty that I went elsewhere. Good doctor, terrible office manager.

Would not/could not answer my questions. Seemed like I was bothering him with simple questions. He just wanted me to do what he said BUT he didn't explain simple things to me as if I should be familiar with my injury.
