This review is more for the billing aspect of Dr. Iskander’s office. As a doctor he was very empathetic, took my concerns serious and spent time to talk through things with me. However, before scheduling an appointment, please know they bill your insurance as outpatient and not specialist - which makes a difference. It was billed as ”Outpatient” bc he’s apart of Southwoods now Since it was billed this way I owe bc of my deductible. Had it been billed as a specialist appointment (like I assumed) it would have been 100% covered. Southwoods will not make any adjustment or resubmit the invoice. I was told “we can put you on a payment plan.” I hope this will save someone else the headache and money.

At each of my visits to Southwoods Health where Dr. Iskander practices, I have found everyone from the security people to the medical assistants pleasant, kind, and willing to help the patients. No one here ever has an unpleasant attitude. I think it's just the culture here. As for Dr. Iskander, he is the epitome of a great doctor. I have been his patient for over 20 years, and consider myself blessed to have his good care. Dr. Iskander is very kind, patient, and genuinely wants to help his patients. You can tell that he enjoys patient care. I wish all doctors were more like him.

I started seeing Dr. Iskander when I moved from out of state. He figured out what was causing my muscle pain when my former doctors didn’t have the answers. I feel so much better since becoming his patient. I appreciate Dr. Iskander’s kindness and that he always takes time to answer my questions. Dr. Iskander is a truly wonderful doctor!

Dr. Iskandar is a wonderful person. He cares about his patients and does a wonderful job. I have been going to him for over 5 years and have very little to no pain. I would highly recommend him .

He said he went over paperwork and said I dont have ankylosing spondylitis that I don't have the marker he was a complete foul he does not do research on diseases he only go based on what he was a waste of time and not worth my time

Dr. Iskander is one of a kind. As a physician he always takes time to listen and answer any questions completely. I have been a patient for 20 plus years. Through the years my RA has had countless upsand downs. Don't know what I would have done without the calls from the Dr. Iskander telling me how to handle the pain. Dr. Iskander is a blessing

Since moving to the Southwoods Center and becoming part of a group getting help from the staff is nonexistent. Time to look for new doctor.

Absolutely amazing physician! What a blessing to be treated by Dr. Iskander! He is very pleasant, knowledgeable and genuinely interested in helping his patient. All the staff was very helpful and friendly as well.
