List of Akron Childrens Health Center Boston Heights's Reviews
Very clean and very professional nurses and doctors. Especially PT and OP sections. I'm really glad that my son sees too much care from Akron Children's Hospital and clinics. Thank you for your response and respect for patients and your wonderful care about patients.
This is a new building, very big parking lot, handicapped parking space and handicapped accessible entrance. They have primary care, ENT, allergist and other specialists available. They also have rehab services, counseling service, lab and urgent care. We love the doctors, specialists and therapists there. They all are great and professional. Staff are helpful too. Some receptionists are nice greeting you when they see you enter the building. Others don't. Their lab and urgent care are not our favorite but overall we love this location and we are happy to have so many services near us so we don't have to travel all the way to Akron or Cleveland.
After being sent from 2 other hospitals yesterday the staff here was extremely helpful nice welcoming friendly asked all questions and helped my children would definitely recommend this place
Let me start by saying I’m sure that Akron Children’s does some wonderful things and my review is not reflective of the medical staff. I chose to go to this location as their Immunology department, which they offer for both children and adults, came highly recommended. As it had been years since I had been to an immunologist, the doctor performed the standard “prick test” on me in order to determine exactly what I was allergic to. From there, he set up a plan to move forward with a series of different allergy medications. All in all, the actual experience went pretty well. The reason for my 1 star review is solely due to the robbery they performed on me with the billing. I first received the bill from the doctor which was fairly high, however this was expected as I hadn’t yet hit my deductible for the year. This bill included the charges for the allergy tests as well as the medical visit. I then received a second bill which was double the amount of the doctor’s bill. This bill was from Akron Children’s Hospital and it read “Allergy Tests”.... even though I was already charged for the tests from the doctor. After calling both my insurance and the Akron Children’s Hospital billing department, I was told that these charges were “legitimate” as Akron Children’s can charge such a high rate to use their facilities as they are a specialty hospital. I was literally charged well over a grand just because my doctor works out of one of their facilities. While the Boston Heights location is nice, it’s literally just a doctors office. I was charged over $1,000 for stepping foot into a doctors office. It’s unfortunate because I did like the immunologist, however I won’t be going back due to the greed and disregard for their patients that is displayed in their outrageous fees.
The outpatient lab had the most unprofessional, rude, and lazy staff. I will NEVER take my daughter there ever again! I'll drive the extra bit to go to Akron. They were amazing! Boston Heights could really learn something, especially when taking care of children.
I had to bring my son here to get tested for strep. The staff here is really wonderful. They got us in and out quickly. They were kind and compassionate and knowledgeable. Originally I thought my son had had Covid so I went to a minute clinic and had them tested but it came back negative. Then I went and had them tested for strep here. They told me I could've come to this facility and had both done at the same time. I had no idea. I would've save myself a lot of time and getting to the bottom of things quicker. I will bring my child here all the time in the future. Great location and great staff.
The new location is beautiful! We love the clean rooms, open waiting rooms and the friendly staff!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
