List of R. Todd Strickland's Reviews
After reading a couple of negative reviews I felt compelled to write our positive experience we have had with Dr. Todd. He works with my 90 year old father and has been very caring and patient with him. He can be direct but in those cases it's because he needed to be for my father to get it. He has also been very caring and takes a incredible amount of time to explain and to listen to concerns. I would recommend him
I have been using this doctor for around three years now and i agree he is very forward and blunt and may possibly lack some basic social skills that the rest of us were born with. If a friend is what you want i suggest you go somewhere else. if you want your feelings nourished by your mommy, then go see your mommy. He can be rude but so can i, even more so when i'm very busy. Dr. Strickland saved my life with his blunt style of medical care and not pulling punches.
Since my previous review for my 91 year old father-in-law was not posted I wanted to repost. He saw Dr. Strickland on June 10, 2019. On May 2, 2019, he moved into an assisted living home locally. His son, who lives out of state and has made sure his father is being taken care of before he leaves, has Healthcare POA through his father's trust. But during this June 10 visit, the doctor made the statement...(and I quote)..."I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE your family to start taking steps to get a legal guardian for your care. You may need to see an attorney to make sure you are taken care of. We have to find somebody to assume this care, otherwise, this could be considered ABANDONMENT" (my caps)." Abandonment? Really? How unprofessional !... when he knows his son has POA. Upon returning him to the assisted living home, his son chose to change to the doctor that comes to the facility to see the residents. We would not recommend him based on his attitude toward his patients.
I hope that his attitude towards women has improved since I was a patient in N.C. He was really pushy with antidepressants and whatever supplements his pharma rep suggested. He became irate when I refused to purchase the "special" calcium supplement, because I already consumed more than the daily recommended amount. Was routinely addressed as "Sir"....after which there was always an "oops, sorry"....I look nothing like a guy BTW. Guess I was a bit too assertive for a "girl".
Has made a few inconsiderate remarks to me....one instance, when I lost my job, he replied as he was leaving the room that it must affect my ego.
Basically every experience is horrible. He has laughed in my face for asking a question about my health. He has outright refused to even look at my chart because he was to busy even though I waited over an hour to see him.once Instead of listening to my issue he walked out as I was talking to him. He completely forgot I had major surgery once and even scolded me for having to reschedule my appointment with him because I had to have a Mri that day instead.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
