List of America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses's Reviews
Fast service, mostly polite and good communication from the doctor. Receptionist coughed on me without covering her mouth and felt the need to whisper her rude opinion on a customer who needed a translator. Didn't come here to her your political opinions and please cover your mouth during cold and flu season.
Very nice place! Katelyn helped me with my order and was very helpful!
Eye doctor did a good job on the exam, didn't rush, seemed to take his time and be thorough, and the floor staff were nice and helpful as well. No pressure to buy or upsell. Was pleasantly surprised. Overall it was a very nice experience, and I'll be back in the future.
Very disappointed in the cleanliness of the building and glasses. Very hard to find a simple pair of female frames when they are caked with foundation and makeup on the nose brim. Asked multiple times for wipes to wipe the makeup off myself, staff acted like they had an issue and were upset with providing me with anything sanitary to clean them before I placed them on my face. The frames on the female side were so bad that I had to SCRAPE off the makeup myself, this isn’t even including the smell of the exam rooms. Just disgusting they expect people to place dirty frames CAKED WITH MAKEUP on their face? I would think the designer section would be cleaner than the clearance but no, EVERY PAIR I PICKED UP - guarantee there is foundation on them. Wonder if the staff themselves would wear them if they came in to try and find frames? If u have to get glasses or contacts this is NOT the place to go. Rather spent my $ at vision works or Hills and dales if I didn’t need a prescription asap. Won’t be returning, Hopfully they clean better after reading this and no the business is NOT SORRY if they were they would have cleaned the frames as soon as a request was made and brought to their attention. Just disgusting and disappointing. ATTN STAFF - For future reference don’t respond to my comment just do better ?!!
Originally when I went for an eye exam I also bought 2 pairs of glasses and paid about $85 for contacts, the eye doctors kept saying my name wrong after I corrected him and he seemed to be having a hard day he seemed a bit short with me. Then after I picked out frames and everything I spoke to a tech ringing everything up I told her what insurance I had through my employer and I’m also covered under my parents as well she started typing into the computer didn’t ask me any further questions and charged my card… nothing was covered she didn’t apply my insurance and didn’t explain she was having a hard time finding it. I also ordered my contacts was told they would call me, never got a call forgot about it for 6 months then called in they said they’ve had them this whole time.
You get what you pay for. The floor staff helping me with picking glasses was great. The eye exam was a nightmare not once, but twice in two years. First time I was there, routine eye exam. The guy doing them was impatient as hell. He'd flip the lenses (ie 1 or 2) and not give me half a second to let my eyes adjust to see if one or the other was better. Within 5 minutes of starting, you could absolutely hear the frustration in his voice as my eye refused to adjust quickly enough for him. Fine, anyone can have an off day, right? A year later I come back. Same guy. Same issue. And he doubled-down. When it came time to test my up close vision, he turned away to write some notes and then started asking me about what I could see. I read it off. He huffed. I strained to focus, he got angrier. At one point he snapped "there's only one line!" Um, dude, there's three. He FINALLY turned around to realize HIS mistake and huffed again. Instead of starting over, he just kept flipping lenses and snapping at me until I was ready to walk. Thanks to that, I wound up buying glasses that gave me headaches. Needless to say, my next eye exam a couple months later was somewhere else where I was at least treated with dignity. In and out of the exam room in 10 minutes, no problems. That guy at America's Best is just a jerk that needs to retire or find another line of work. I feel sorry for all the people who have to work with him and clean up his messes after customer's have been with him.
I wasn’t that impressed with this America’s Best. The only good thing I can say is the doctor was really nice, although he did not have good things to say about the in-house software they use and kept getting confused by it. The whole experience took 2 hours which seems really long to me. There was a lot of sitting around waiting while it seemed like the employees were doing nothing but complaining about their jobs rather than helping customers. After my exam was over the doctor told me to sit in the waiting area and someone from up front would come get me to buy contacts. After waiting 10 minutes I finally just wandered up front and the one lady noticed me and asked if I was ready to check out. Who knows how long I would have sat there otherwise. The whole time I was checking out I got to listen to two other employees complain about corporate not knowing anything loudly in front of all their customers. Good times.
Gave them another chance but I cannot come to an appointment without waiting an hour at minimum. Waste of my day.
All of the technicians and doctors are very nice and helpful. They are not about making money- the one lady was trying to me as much savings as possible. Very helpful and friendly. Only conplaint'- my appointment was set for 10:20am but I wasn't seen by the doc til 11:10am. That was very frustrating- especially since the florescent lights cause headaches for me. Otherthsn that- highly recommend
I read the negative reviews and found my experience to be the total opposite. I was greeted with a friendly hello. Debbie and Mindy were so nice to work with. The doc was so thorough and explained everything in a way I fully understood. I dont mind waiting a bit longer than expected, shows he isn't rushing his patients and treats each one as an individual and not a number.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
