I went to Mercy stat care for a broken/sprained ankle. After the x-ray all Dr. Aronson said it was sprained and not broken and said he could give me crutches. I asked him "What do you recommend?" and his response was "We can give you crutches if you need them" I asked if I needed the crutches or if could I walk on it. He reiterated "We can give you crutches if you can't walk on it". I told him I had been walking on it all morning, and asked if I needed to stop walking on it, adding "What do you as the doctor recommend?" Again he responded, "you can walk on it if you want, but I can give you crutches. Whatever you want to do." As a patient I'm coming to a doctor for their expertise and guidance and I got none of that from him. His whole attitude was to push the care back onto the patient for what 'They wanted to do' instead of informing them and giving them an expert analysis and advice. He pushes unnecessary additional costs(crutches) and provides no help to his patients.
