Dr. Assaad has been wonderful to me and my family! She takes her time and makes sure everything is done correctly. I had an emergency situation and the staff got me in immediately. Dr. Assaad was compassionate, kind, and very understanding of my worry about my vision.

I was really surprised to see that Dr. Assaad’s examination equipment was far superior and more technologically advanced than my previous eye doctor’s.

I have been her patient over 20 years. She is exceptionably bright, kind, and personable. I have complex vision condition that she has kept my eyesight great. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Dr.Assaad did my cataract surgery last month. It was Amazing!!! She spent time with me before the surgery and explained everything. Very kind and sweet. After the surgery which was completely painless I was Amazed that I could see perfectly. It was unbelievable. Colors were even brighter. I could read road signs. Just unbelievable for me. This whole experience was positively a five star. I would recommend Dr.Assaad to everyone who is needing this type of surgery. Go for it without any reservations. You will be delighted that you did! What an awesome experience. This is the first time in probably 60 years I have had crystal clear 20/20 vision. I had cataracts removed and doing perfectly great thanks to GOD through Dr. Assaad’s skillful talent and education. I am truly blessed to have her as my diabetic eye doctor. Thank you Dr. Assaad.

After my visit I had to be rushed to an emergency room. Never will I go back to her for anything.

My vision is so good after working with Dr. Assaad and her team that I do not want to shut my eyes and go to sleep! I want to stay awake and use my new eyes. Long story short: I went to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles to renew my driver's license and failed the eye test. I contacted my Primary Care Physician for a referral. My PCP told me to go to Dr. Assaad and do everything she tells me to do. I readily agreed. I had a large cataract in the lens of my right eye and another in the lens of my left eye. Dr. Assaad surgically removed the lense in my right eye that I was born with, and replaced it with an Alcon PanOptix trifocal manmade lens. A couple of weeks later she removed my cataract blocked left eye lens and implanted the same type of PanOptix trifocal lens in my left eye. I will be forever grateful to her professional staff and Dr. Assaad for restoring my vision. After wearing glasses for over 20 years, Dr. Assaad threw my glasses away! :-) I do not want to give the impression that this was a fast and easy process though. My first visit with Dr. Assaad was in November of 2021 after my failed eye test at the BMV. There is a form I filled out on her office web site to arrange my first visit with her. The office staff mailed paperwork to my home which I took time and care to fill out. I fully described my medical history and vision issues on the forms she sent to me and made sure I had all the questions on the forms answered as best I could. Dr. Assaad reviewed and discussed all of that info on our first visit and she fully explained my options for correcting issues with my eyes. She has large posters in her exam rooms and can show and explain everything that will happen. An office administrator provided a kit of instructions and schedules to prepare for my first operation. My first operation at Aultman Hospital was in January 2022, two months after my first visit in her office. My final visit with her was in February 2022. It is a process that one has to work through over a few months but help is there all along the way. There is a preparation process which the office staff helps with. The staff provides many written instructions that leads up to the actual ambulatory same day surgery in the hospital. The nurses that admitted me into the hospital told me that Dr. Assaad's surgical patients are among the best prepared, educated and compliant with the doctor's instructions, which optimizes the chances for a great outcome after their surgeries. A partial anesthesia was used, I was not put totally asleep during the operation but felt no pain during the operation or afterwards. My vision was blurry a little bit after surgery for a few hours but cleared up very quickly and there was no pain. After each surgery, the very next day I visited the office and she tested my vision. It was very obvious that after each operation, everything had gone perfectly. I thank Dr. Assaad for her incredible gift. I sure as heck could not monkey around with someone's eyes like she can!

I cannot speak highly enough for Dr. Assad and her staff. The exceptional care and service are priceless. I am so glad that she was recommended to me!
