List of Mark A. Weiner's Reviews
I had surgery for pinched nerve, and it went so well, I could hardly believe it. I am 74 and expected to have a longer recovery, but incision has practically healed and pain very minimal thoughout. Nerve pain completely gone immediately. Dr. Weiner performed surgery on my husband and several people from our church and all have nothing but praise for him. I would never hesitate to recommend him.
Had MRI on lower back that shows displaced vertebrae in lumbar spine with discs herniated and bulging with weakness in both thighs. Dr Weiner told me there was nothing wrong with my spine saying it was normal for a make in late 40s. He kept saying I'm a neurosurgeon the whole time I had questions. He has a massive God complex. He left me with more questions than I have answers. I feel like I was treated differently because I'm a medicaid patient.
I saw Dr Weiner five years ago for back pain, neuropathy in my lower extremities. I had an MRI done at another hospital stating I had bulging discs in three places in my lower spine and narrowing. He didn't approve of my MRI and they called me at 530 that evening saying he wanted me to rush back to Canton (an hour drive) to do one at aultman. He told me I didn't have herniated discs(even after a discogram) and that it was just spinal stenosis. He did a laminectomy. Very arrogant. After surgery not good follow-up care. Pain recurred within 3 months and I've had it since and is worsening. Will not go back to this Dr who was highly recommended by my ex neurologist from Canton also!!!!
Do not bother. Dismissive, rude, and full of himself. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I have never felt so mistreated at what is supposed to be an office that helps you; EVER. The only bright spot is his nurse, who is very sweet. Hopefully a surgeon with some common sense and bedside manner cherry picks her out of that hellhole.
He told me at 15 years old I needed to have a VP shunt put in every time I had to go he get on me about needing it done I was so scared and he knew it. I had to go to ER few times years later he told me this is it I can get the surgery done or die in few weeks I was 21 years old when I showed up he knew I was so scared but crack a joke saying he didn't think I was going to show up he done my surgery in 45 min and had to spend a week checking on me everyday because it was my first surgery I won't go to any other person then him he is a very smart caring man god bless him saving lives everyday
My husband had had spinal decompression by Dr. Weiner, and the first time I met this doctor I was greatly impressed by how quickly he assessed the situation and changed his schedule immediately to provide surgery. Several years later, I had decompression and fusion by his skilled hands. I find Dr. Weiner to be everything one looks for in a physician: knowledgeable, skilled, and caring, though this description isn't nearly apt. Better put, Dr. Weiner is brilliant surgeon and a humanitarian Mensch as well. I wish he were a family friend! I cannot recommend him highly enough because I trusted him completely. I expected brilliance from Dr. Weiner, and I got it! You will, too!
Always professional and caring. 3 surgeries on the past. Would trust his opinion over anyone else.
I feel very fortunate to have such a talented, personable neurosurgeon in Stark County. Dr. Weiner removed a tumor from my lumbar spinal canal which had a very successful outcome. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing neurosurgery! Susan Pero, East Canton
This was my second surgery with Dr. Weiner and this one literally saved my life. I would never let another neurosurgeon touch me. Thank you Dr. Weiner.
Dr. Weiner takes time to really listen to his patients. He performed neck surgery on me and I couldn't be happier. I recommend him to anyone.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
