I recently had a colectomy for colon cancer. He was very informative, asked if I had any questions, and the surgery went very well. Minimal pain afterward, and a very thin, clean incision. A couple of the nurses who took care of me, said if they had to have surgery, he's the Dr they would ask for.

Kind and Compassionate Surgeon. Takes time to explain everything and seems to genuinely care about his patients. Also, front line staff are very professional and courteous.

As someone who knew this dr on a more personal level I thought he would have been more understanding. Didn’t want to do surgery on another surgeons recommendation who did the surgery himself. Hmm interesting. Great guy and doc but seemed to have been swayed into not doing a surgery when another surgeon said he wouldn’t do it but did it anyway without hesitation abd me the patient suffered complications I don’t think I would have suffered if dr k would have done it himself. Just wished he would have listened to his patient and their wishes more

Unbelievable surgeon, his bedside manner is fantastic, and his staff are wonderful. Forever grateful for all he has done for me.

Doctor Kelly made me and my husband very comfortable about having liver biopsy.He explained the whole procedure.Prep for the biopsy was very fast.Appt.on Friday procedure on Tuesday.

Dr. Kelly is easy to talk to & I was comfortable with the examination & explaining my symptoms/issues to him. I didn’t feel rushed, like he was trying to hurry through my appointment. He was very considerate & understanding of my anxiety about having surgery & explained everything to the point that I didn’t have any further questions about what to expect with my surgery experience. The day of surgery there was quite a delay in taking me back, but the attending staff was very apologetic & made sure I was comfortable & had anything I needed. It was explained to me that the reason for the delay was because Dr. Kelly was called to assist in a surgery involving robotics, which I thought was very impressive. I wasn’t impatient about waiting because that person must have needed his expertise & I was totally fine with that. My mind was put at ease while I waited also because I was told more than once-by more than one person-that he is a very good surgeon & that I would be in very good hands!

Good surgeon but aftercare HORRIBLE!!! Would not give anything for pain after surgery. My husband didn’t sleep for at least 4 days after surgery and has only gotten a few hrs of sleep a night for about a month bc of it. Will never go back .. period. We feel sick for whoever else has to deal with him.

If you are looking for a surgeon that is good with after care I Would definitely not recommend this doctor after care is terrible.

Dr. Kelly was extremely personable, cared about my husband's surgery and recovery, and made sure we understood the details of the surgery and the recovery. We are extremely happy.

My husband and I are so grateful for Dr. Kelly, and if and when we need surgery again, we will request him. Dr. Kelly is perfect in every respect. He is simply an outstanding doctor, brilliant, kind, trustworthy, sincere and personable.
