List of Aamir Hussain's Reviews
He was great and referred for a second opinion with no hesitancy! He is very knowledgeable, thorough, kind and compassionate.
I’ve never left a review before but he told me my stutter wasn’t neurological at all and was purely psychological and caused by anxiety. Said that stutters have nothing to do with neurological function which is just plain wrong. Ask any other doctor in the world. Was a complete waste of time. I would give 0 stars if I could.
I went in there with the following symptoms: fainting, dizziness, history of seizures as a child, severe headaches, issues with sensitivity to smells, sensitivity to tastes (most foods taste and smell rancid), visual auras, etc. He saw a person of size and that's all. FYI I was the same weight and have been for over 20 yrs as I was before all these symptoms occurred (actually I'm losing weight because there are so many things my sense of taste and smell can't handle). If I was of average weight and presented with these symptoms I'd have a list of tests right now. Instead I was weight shamed. Told that losing weight would make all these symptoms go away. I should avoid the few foods I'm actually able to tolerate at the moment, because they are bland. I should eat more protein (all meats smell and taste rancid) and vegetables which smell and taste like dirt no matter how clean I make them. I'm writing this with a headache so bad I'm crying. These symptoms are not because of my weight, they are new they should be taken seriously. Worst part he had a resident with him so he's teaching them not to treat the symptoms but the size of the client.
1st time seeing the doctor. Very pleased with him and was very nice.
After reading other reviews I was worried. I was very relieved after meeting the Dr for first time this week. I like him he listened and was caring and compassionate.
Dr Hussain was a tremendous disappointment. He did not listen to me, dismissed a great deal of what I said, and only did an extremely cursory exam. This is not what anyone should expect from any physician, especially not a neurologist who must have exquisite attention to detail. It should come as no surprise, then, that he completely misdiagnosed me. For the sake of your well being, avoid him.
Wish it was possible to give ZERO stars! Incompetent to say the least! My father went to the ER for seizures. Was transferred to UH Geauga and was assigned Dr Hussain as his neurologist. Multiple EEGs and CT scans done. This physician told my mom and dad some elderly patients have seizures for no reason. My mother after several attempts to contact his office for follow up was unable to. I assisted my parents in finding another neurologist who immediately sent my dad to a neurosurgeon. Imagine our surprise when we found out my dad has a glioblastoma. If Hussain would have bothered to look at the CT scans he would have seen this! This man needs his license taken away!
Dr. Hussain was very easy to talk to. He was very attentive and compassionate.
No "extensive time" was spent on educating us on clinical findings. We never agreed to a "plan". Nor were we told an asssessment of visit or future plans - medications, etc. Doctor reported patient has no eye problems, while he has macular degeneration and has stopped driving because of it. Mentioned to doctor patient was having trouble seeing pictures on the phone screen. Many more comments in doctor's report that were inaccurate such as comments on patient's feet. While only his face was visible on the phone. Doctor appeared arrogant and indicated he was wasting his time on us. We do not recommend this doctor for neurological assessments.
I cannot even begin to describe the nightmare that was my husband's appointment with Dr. Hussain. Dr. Hussain was interruptive, dismissive and arrogant to the point that he directly said to my husband that some don't like him and if they don't then that's their problem. A couple of times during the virtual visit, he interrupted my husband to say that he needed to stop and "get over it". He essentially called the other doctor's on my husband's team idiots. The reality is that while Dr. Hussain may well be "good" at his job, his bedside manner is nonexistent. No amount of book smarts trumps the need for kindness and empathy. Stay far away. You'll save yourself the aggrevation.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
