List of MIchael E. Rom's Reviews
See edit at end Excellent experience! I can now see 20/20. I had worn glasses for over 50 years and was very nervous about having eye surgery, because, well, eyes! Dr. Rom is a very calming doctor, explained why surgery would be beneficial to both myself and physicians examining my eyes. With that said, I felt no pressure to have the surgery done. I am so very glad I did though! His support staff is also wonderful, very helpful and did not mind the many, many times I called prior to and after surgery with questions that they had already answered but I had forgot. There are many options to choose from and I chose to have distance correction and possible use of readers. It has been well over a month since my second eye was done and I do use readers, but my distance vision is outstanding. I didn't even need to wear my glasses the day after my first eye was done as my vision was so wonderful. I have and would recommend Dr. Rom, withut hesitation. I had zero complications, even being diabetic. Robyn Melkerson Chardon, Ohio No longer a client. Found I have wet macular degeneration. Specialist treating had to clean the lenses Dr Rom put in bc dirty and not as high quality as is available. It is possible I knew they were not the highest when I had it done, I just don’t remember. I don’t think they should be offering a subpar product. All things considered, I would have chosen a different doctor.
Had cataracts removed I can see 20/20 now. Very professional staff. And Dr Rom made you feel very special.
Dr. Rom did a wonderful job on my right eye cataract! I highly recommend him for any eye needs. He is thorough and listens and answered all my concerns and questions and I am just so pleased. God has blessed this man with a wonderful gift. His staff is very professional and so sweet. 😇
I did lots of research among cataract surgeons before selecting one. Now that I’ve gone through the process I’m very thankful that I selected Dr. Rom. For starters, it turns out that there are multiple surgical techniques. For example, some surgeons use a dated process that involves serious incisions and where the entire surgery takes significant time. Dr. Rom uses an advanced ultrasound technique that’s quick and essentially painless. It worked and it worked well and it was quick, actually just minutes per eye. Dr. Rom is meticulous. As well, Dr. Rom took the time to understand how I use my eyes (i.e. I’m at a computer most of the day and it was more important to get the strongest focus on working at that distance versus long range distances). Dr. Rom was accurate, he was personable, he was professional. My vision now is perfect per my needs. I can only say thank you.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
