Dr. Barfell, my younger cousin, is remarkably knowledgeable and skilled in his craft. He is pleasant, personable, professional, and punctual. His entire aim is to make your vision perfect. My LASIK experience was excellent. Easy to find office. Easy parking. Great staff. Quick service. Most importantly, I went from wearing a contact lens prescription of -7.5 to now perfect vision in a thirty minute procedure. My eyes feel great! I’ve had to wear corrective lenses since I was 8 years old and now I’m contact lens/glasses free. Dr. Barfell walks you through the recovery process and after following his instructions my eyes are healing quickly. I can’t recommend CEI and Dr. Barfell enough. I drove 10 hours for Dr. Barfell to fix my eyes and I’m so glad that I did.

This guy is so cool. He really knows how to fold the flaps if you know what i mean. If you dont you will know when hes done with ya. He does need to come buy a Jeep or Dodge product like the guy who refered me (Todd Albertz, who is an AWESOME guy). He made me feel comfortable the entire time. Even when I could smell my eyes burning from his laser I felt I was in great hands. I can see perfectly. Cincinnati Eye Institute is great. I wish I owned a share in this place they are rocking non stop.

Dr. Barbell was wonderful. He performed LASIK on my husband and several months later Dr. Barfell performed the RLE procedure on me. Previously I had to wear glasses to read anything, near or far. I now have 20/15 and 20/20 vision and am only 1 week post op from the second eye. He chose the perfect lens for my prescription and took the time to answer all my questions making me feel comfortable through the whole process.

I had cataract surgery with Dr Barfell. He is an excellent physician who obviously strives to take great care of his patients. My case was complicated, but he was upfront letting me know what to expect. He was thorough answering my questions, and I would highly recommend him! I was also impressed with all the staff - they were professional and knowledgeable.
