Dr. Gausvik is great!

Dr.Gausvik was incredibly professional. You will find him to be a wonderful listener with very honest and intelligent advice. He took great care to learn my family history and test for concerns. He answered all of my questions and made me feel safe after years of not going to a Doctor. Dr. G referred me to other great experts who respect the LGBTQA community. He has improved my life.

He is open to questions and willing to listen.

Have scheduled 2 physicals, and he has refused to touch me both times. Learned that is his tactic so he can bill it to insurance as an “office visit” and not preventative. Smart! Edit: After reading other reviews, this is evidently common practice. I would highly recommend anyone in my community AVOID Dr. Gausvik like the plague, and any of his patients who have a similar experience - join me in reporting him to the Ohio Boards.

Dr Gausvik is very smart and also extremely kind. Very interested in providing the best health care possible.

I am a chronically Ill person who lives alone. I had been unable to sleep at all the night before and was suffering a flare up. I missed my initial appt due to this and they refused to reschedule me at all. While I understand why they have that policy, to treat every case as the same is just poor policy and bedside manner.

Every single person was very nice. It was my first time and I fet very comfortable. I highly recommend, long wait for first time, but worth it.

At an annual physical, Dr. Christian Gausvik with The Christ Hospital recommended that I get blood work like every year. Every year, insurance covers the cost of the blood work. This year, they are reporting that the blood work was not routine preventative in nature, and I am being billed $263.92 for the blood work. My insurance is Humana POS. I have talked to multiple people in the billing department that seem to believe that it should be covered by insurance but that the doctor's coding is preventing coverage. They rebilled and the doctor still has not coded it as preventative. It has been more than 6 months. They are now threatening to report it to the credit reporting agencies. I have asked for managers to call (no return calls), and the doctor to call (no return call). I do not recommend Dr. Gausvik and/or The Christ Hospital unless you want surprise bills and no help. As a P.S. on 2/3/23: The contacts at The Christ Hospital lied about rebilling the account. I found this out be calling my insurance company to review the status. My insurance company reported that the account was not rebilled until 1/14 after my one star review. My insurance company reported the account would be paid after it was rebilled. This is after The Christ Hospital was threatening me with collection and to ruin my credit. Although I do not believe it was Dr. Gausvik's fault, he also did not reach out to me to discuss the matter until after my one star review despite my messaging him on mychart. A primary care doctor friend of my said he would have received the message, and that he should have had someone call me to discuss the matter.

I have been seeing Dr. Gausvick and the entire staff for about a year now and have loved every visit. You are not treated like a patient but more like a friend. Very comfortable talking to the doctor and the entire staff. My recent medication is injections and I told Dr. Gausvick I don't think I could give myself shots in the stomach. He offered to do it for me each week. I went in and met with two of the nurses and they showed me how to do it and took their time for me to do it. Dr. Gausvick was 100% right, very easy to do and you don't feel a thing. I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone. You can't go wrong. Love him and the entire staff!!! Hey Isaac Heintz - I was reading your post. What does the doctor office have to do with billing from your insurance. When my insurance doesn't cover a prescription - I can't blame the doctor because my insurance sucks. Maybe you need a better plan??
