Nishiyama and her team worked with me for years, but they've gotten so full that if you miss an appointment, it takes months to get back in. I travel for work, and I don't always have control of my schedule. I missed an appointment in July, and couldn't get seen until september. I missed in september, for work travel, and I can't get in until late january. I'm going to run out of medicine LONG before they have an opening for me, and they have decided to let me do without medicine they prescribed until I can get in, two months later. If I were you, I would HARD PASS on this group. They are willing to let me get sicker instead of working with me on the schedule.

I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in March 2017. My AIC 12.6 and BS was nearly 900. I was put on injections in the stomach and then through some miracle, I found Dr. Nishiyama. She took me off all injections, talked to me about weight (220), put me on four pills per day and saw me in 30 days. My A1C was down to 5.6 and BS averaging 90. Today April 22, 2018. My weight is 175 and BS average is 80 and A1C is 4.5 Yes a real turn-around and I owe it all to Dr. Nishiyama...patient, brilliant woman

Have not tried solitions yet waiting on lab work. Loved her. She is very thorough and looks at all options. Can't wait to see what happens after she vets my labs back.

Can someone tell me where Dr. Nishiyama went? I, too, was impressed with the care she provided and her fantastic bedside manner. But I can't find her!! She left the practice on Commons Blvd. in Beavercreek and they won't tell me where she went.

She is a wonderful doctor. She doesn't rush you or talk down to you. She uses words you understand and drawings to describe what she is explaining, when necessary. She is also very thorough.

I have been seeing Dr. Nishiyama for over 3 years for hyperthyroidism. She gives me her undivided attention and never rushes. I only wait 5 to 10 minutes before I get to see her. She is very thorough and pays attention to the small details. I recommend her enthusiastically! She is a GREAT doctor. I am continually impressed by her, and most importantly - she loves what she does!

Dr. Nishiyama works at 2 practices so it is hard to know which office has the staff who puts people on hold forever. I go to Specialty Medicine Care in Beavercreek and see her there and I've not had the problem of being put on eternal hold, in fact, when I tried to schedule my first "new patient" appointment with her it was going to be 8 weeks, but they put me on a cancellation list and I got in 2 weeks after I first called. Dr. N is amazing! She actually spends plenty of time with you during an appointment and explains everything. She is the best endocrinologist and I will continue to see her as she is the one I trust to keep my thyroid medication bloodwork on target.
