Ian P. Rodway's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Rodway did my 1st fusion surgery in 2001 so it lasted a long time. He is an excellent surgeon and I have just gone back to him again as I may need a similar surgery again since the vertebrae above is pinching a nerve. His staff, Julie in particular, a delight and a very capable person.

Everyone is extremely friendly, and Dr Rodway was very thorough and had lots of patience with me!

I initially went with Beacon because patient scheduling was so easy. You just jump online, pick your doctor, pick your location. It was very simple! Dr. Rodway was fine but had to beg him to help me with my back pain. He said he was a surgeon and wouldn’t do anything until tests were completed. I get it though with the present opioid crisis. On his way out the door he begrudgingly put me on prednisone. He ordered a nerve test and an mri. The desk scheduled the nerve test but told me they would have to call me to schedule the mri and follow up with Dr. Rodway. They finally called me a few days later to schedule the mri. They wanted me to travel to another of their offices, which was an hour away from my house, to do the mri. Driving on a busy freeway an hour away wasn’t feasible for me. I told them I wanted to do the mri closer, which they said was fine, but they would have to check with Dr. Rodway’s office to get the ok, then they would get back to me. Well, they never got back to me. After waiting 6 days from my initial appointment with Dr. Rodway to hear back from them, I decided on going with another orthopedic group. I never got the mri scheduled or the follow up with Dr. Rodway.

Dr. Rodway and staff were extremely helpful and personable!

I have had back surgery with Dr. Rodway who is very skilled and was very pleased. Shortly after surgery I was able to become very active again. He is awesome! I also think his surgery assistant is very professional and caring. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend his team for anyone.Vicky Hafl

Everyone I came in contact with from entering the building thru my appointment with Dr.Rodway and back out again, were masked, very friendly and polite. I won’t be going anywhere else.

Beacon Orthopedics is a top-notch medical unit. All the doctors are excellent and also have excellent bedside manners. They talk to you in easy-to-understand language, and they don't leave any stone unturned to find a solution to your medical problem. Highly recommend this facility. Dr. Rodway is cordial, covers all the bases to make sure his patients receive excellent care. I will always feel I am being taken care of to the max

Starting 8 years ago I had C-5-6-7 Neck fusion which was 100% successful fast forward to this past April whereas I was back for L--4-5 Surgery. I am Happy to report that my quality of Life is so much better without all the nagging pain. Dr. Rodway Megan and Julie are quite the team. Everything thoroughly explained all went according to plan and all the small details like having Meds ordered were taken care of! Knowledge and experience matters and would Highly recommend Dr. Rodway and his team for any and all of your Orthopedic needs!John Norris

Bahgat Zakaria TawfikDr Ian Rodway is the best , attributed to his upbringing in one of the best families in Mason ,Ohio . I can't say enough about his friendly bedside manners and his medical knowledge and excellence in his field . you can't ask for a better doctor when he treats his patients like a family . my Mom was visiting from a different state when she developed a sudden severe lower back pain radiating to one of her legs that prevented her from walking , sleeping or doing any daily activities . after a few urgent care and emergency room visits , the choice was obvious , I said I have to call Beacon and I have to take her to see Ian . thanks to beacon staff we got an appointment in 2 days and the rest of my Mom's pain and suffering was history . during the same visit , Dr Rodway ordered the right imaging on her skeleton and her spine . after a thorough physical examination and after he examined the images , he made the right diagnosis and discussed with us the whole treatment plan with the correct intervention and physiotherapy . now during the 2 week follow up visit , my mother is pain free , she can walk again and on her way to complete recovery . thanks Dr Ian Rodway , thanks to all his staff at Beacon

Ian Rodeway, MD is one of the best doctors I've ever had. He deserves a 5 star. Unfortunately, I am unable to see him because I lost my job/medical insurance to Covid-19. The fact that I have no insurance, I am treated like a homeless person with no help. People on welfare get treated better than I do. Its sad, because I have a sciatic nerve problem and can barely walk, sleep, sit or stand because of the excruciating pain. I've worked all my life and paid for medical insurance but because of a virus I have to live with this pain. The receptionist don't talk to me like they did when I had insurance. All I can do is pray that the pain stops long enough for me to rest.
