My fiance has been seeing this "doctor" for over a year. He has given him nothing but psych meds and every prescription he gets, comes with a new way to torment me and our children!! Not to mention, they have done NOTHING for the pain!! Thanks, Doc, for creating the monster I now live with!!

After years of pain from a childhood injury, I was referred to Dr. Fortman by my PCP. This doctor listens to his patients, and explains everything thoroughly. After years of injections by other physicians and when ready to give up on them I have it a go. Finally! I started to get relief. I don’t know how or why his seemed effective when others didn’t, but they were. I was also recently hospitalized for a unrelated illness. Dr. Fortman checked on me several times, visited me while in the hospital and he and his staff called several times to check on me. He and his staff are friendly, kind, compassionate and caring. He has never once shook my hand or touched me without sanitizing or washing he hands. Explaining what and why he was doing what he was doing. Assuring my comfort level. I am saddened that this doctor who genuinely cares for his patients has anything but a ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? rating on his profile.

Today what's my first visit with dr. Fortman. I really liked him. He seemed to know exactly where my pain was and what he could do to correct it. He was friendly and explained everything to me about having epidural injections. I would highly recommend.

If you want to be considered a dot in his data base, he is for you. Otherwise avoid. He prescribes things like a robot. Everyone gets gabapentin regardless of your needs. Don't question his decicions since in his mind he is the best and you are not worthy. He didn't even try to work on the source of my pain just threw a bunch of pills at it. I was not comfortable with him from my very first appointment.

I've never experienced such poor bedside manners in all my life. Please be an advocate for your health and consider this Dr. who lacks empathy and understanding. Its important for a doctor to set a standard practice for all patients, Dr. Fortmans standard is of arrogance and control. Tread with caution when considering him.
