List of Joel I. Sorger's Reviews
I have to agree with all of the above reviews and his PA or NP was just as bad and after 3 hip surgeries my hip still isn't right.
Hip surgery went'bad'within 90 days.Hip replaced w/larger one-never was pain free.Year later, infection.Sorger removed hip,put in a 'spacer' I went to nursing home.Ended up in ICU in excruciating pain fever delirium. He didn't 'practice' at that hospital so said the'house'doctors could handle it.Wife had me transferred to Cleveland Clinic. The excellent orthopedic team worked for 10 mo.to clear the infection and get me a new hip.The CC surgeon said he 'couldn't believe what he found' in there, there was'cabling'wrapped around the bone because Sorger had accidentally drilled thru my leg bone during my first surgery. The CC doctor said'just asking for infection'and"not current practice”.Antibiotic pellets were put in my hip and we began the nursing home stays on Vancomycin (antibiotic for mersa infection) Got my new hip 10 months later. The Vanco stressed my kidneys which are now in stage 1 failure and will not improve. No thanks to Sorger,I walk with a limp but have a good quality of life.
Dr. Sorger is THE BEST. I would highly recommend him to anyone. I couldn't imagine my shoulder replacements going any better than they did. They feel great & my scars are minimal thanks to his amazing skills and intelligence. If you are choosing doctors, you would be crazy not to choose Dr. Sorger :)
Stay away from him.
He is very good surgent he replace my hip and it been lot better then before pain is gone
I’m 38 and was suffering from advanced arthritis in my right hip. After years of severe pain and being told I was too young for a hip replacement, I was referred to Dr. Sorger and within less than a year, I am beginning to get my life back. My anterior hip replacement went without incident. I feel amazing!!!
His repair & re-replacement of another Orthopedic surgeon's botched knee replacement, shows just how skilled Dr. Sorger really is. I just passed one year since he performed that surgery. This knee works!
Dr Sorger is the best surgeon that I have ever had. he is very caring has an excellent bedside manner I can’t say enough good things about him. He is very knowledgeable I’ve never ask him a question that he couldn’t answer . He and His staff are very caring efficient you couldn’t ask for anyone better .!!
Dr. Sorger is the best he works very hard, he is also kind enough to help people that are low income with out making them feel back about there situation. Other Doctor won’t bother or they make you feel like you are not as good as everyone else. Dr. Sorger doesn’t talk much but he does a great job, he doesn’t have the time to talk a lot he is to busy taking care of he patience. Dr. Sorger, Thank You!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
