Dr Kachmann and his team have been complete professionals with my injury, surgery, and recovery! I have been blessed to have them perform my back surgery after I broke my back.

Dr. Kachmann recently preformed spine surgery on my neck. The procedure corrected spine compression and nerve impingement. The location from C2 to T2 (Cervical/Neck to Thorax/Upper Body). This was an extensive surgery. My discussion with Dr. Kachmann were very informative and very professional. He detailed what was going to happen and what I could expect as results. I had complete confidence in his highly skilled abilities, professionalism, with appreciation in his caring attitude. I feel most blessed to have him as my surgeon.

Post surgery visit for a very big surgery. I am so thankful for his expertise. I don't think anyone could have performed this surgery any better. My recovery has been quick with swift pain reduction. I don't think anyone could find a better nerosurgeon.

I'm six weeks post-op and my symptoms have completely resolved, and I feel better than I have in years. He and his staff were kind, efficient, and professional. I had spinal surgery in 2008 at the age of 18 due to a car accident that resulted in a radial burst fracture of my T6/T7 and several hairline fractures in my neck. I was lucky to have lived, but Dr. Kachmann was at ECU at the time, and I owe a lot to his team and his work. I have 2 rods and several screws in my back, and despite being in my 30s now, have little to no pain as a result of my injury. The scar tissue at the surgery site has never given me problems, either, and it’s a cool thing I get to show off sometimes! I hope you read these reviews, Dr. Kachmann, you truly saved my life at 18 and I’m thankful every day for your work.

I initially saw De Kachmann based on personal referral. My first visit he very patiently answered all my questions and was willing to spend all the time I needed. This alone makes him unique compared to many of his peers. The surgery was a complete success. I'm six weeks out and 90% of the pain is gone and I'm confident that as I continue to heal the remainder will be gone as well. Can't recommend Dr Kachmann highly enough!

I would highly recommend Dr Kachmann. I recently had a complicated major spinal fusion. Almost immediately I was relieved of my leg and back pain I had been experiencing for months. Also Dr Tempel who did the surgery along with Dr Kachmann another highly qualified neurosurgeons. They gave me my life back.

Dr Kachmann identified and removed a large Schwannoma tumor from my lower back in Oct 2021. As he worked with me to identify it, I feel that he was addressing my case with the attention that it required to ensure that the tumor was only in my back and nowhere else through my body. His prescribed course of action was well explained and included multiple contingencies at the ready in case the surgery had not gone as planned. The surgery itself was extensive and took over 5 hours to complete - something that is extreme and very rare. My recovery was everything that he had explained to me prior to the surgery and I followed his medical guidance closely for my recovery. I am now 5 mos post surgery and feeling no pain anymore. While I have had side effects (I will not get all the feeling back in my right leg due to that tumor having killed those nerves), I am so VERY THANKFUL for his attention to detail and surgical skill the he applied to heal my broken body. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr Kachmann.
