On August 1 2022 Dr Kachmann and his team performed back surgery on me I have to say he and his team are absolutely wonderful I was treated with the utmost respect and dignity The knowledge and care of all the Doctors and Nurses and everyone who came in contact with me was phenomenal They treated me as if I was royalty I can't say enough about my excellent experience at Mayfield All pain is gone Thank you

Loves himself and cares nothing about his patients once his surgery is complete and he gets paid by insurance. If I could give him zero stars, I would. Hospital staff does not respect him and I can certainly see why. Arrogant, dismissive, unprofessional, and really just not a nice man. Minimizes post-op pain and gets highly offended if you question him. You will not regret finding a different surgeon.

He listens, explains and answers all questions so you can understand exactly what is going on with you.

I was referred to Dr. Kachmann by a friend who received highly successful treatment from the doctor. From the first meeting, I was impressed by his intelligence, down-to-earth manner and confidence. Due to Covid, we suffered almost a two-year delay in treatment, but Dr. Kachmann made a diagnosis that had eluded other physicians from Northern Kentucky all the way to the Cleveland Clinic. Surgery was scheduled to correct dangerous stenosis in my cervical spine, and just prior, I suffered a bad fall, striking my head and injuring my already problematic spine. Dr. Kachmann cut short his Memorial Day break to visit me in the hospital. Surgery went splendidly, resulting in screws and rods aligning four vertebrae and forcing fusion of the four. Within two weeks I was pain-free and healed quickly so that I could resume most normal activities after six weeks. Most importantly, Dr. Kachmann gave me something beyond superlative surgical skill and expertise. He gave me hope.

I chose Dr. Kachmann when an MRI revealed a growth on my spine that was causing nerve pain; his name appeared as one of the top spine/brain surgeons in Cincinnati. The first visit a week later; the office was efficient and wait time, minimal. Dr. Kachmann is open and friendly; he chatted informally with us, asked me to talk about my symptoms, then carefully explained what he saw on the MRI. He spoke with complete honesty and laid out the potential dangers of surgery, assuring me the growth was benign. My surgery was scheduled for about 6 weeks later, indicating that while the procedure was important, the growth was not life-threatening. After surgery and during my 3-day hospital stay, either Dr. Kachmann or his partner Dr. Temple came by my room each day to check in, inspect the sutures, and reported that everything looked fine. Post-surgery visits at 2 and six weeks have also been handled with efficiency and care. Most importantly the surgery eliminated the pain.

Dr. Kachmann worked miracles in fixing 3 destroyed discs in my lower back L2 threough L5. He performed a miracle as far as I am concerned. Dr. Kachmann performed 2 surgeries over a 3 day period and I was released from the hospital on day 5. This was major surgery with no complications and now that 6 months has passed my back feels like it did when I was 18 years old. I cant say enough about Dr. Kachmann that would due justice to his expertise and overall concern for me as his patient. Dr. Kachmann is a true professional and I would highly recommend him to anybody with spinal issues regardless of the severity. He is the Best!

Dr. Kachmann recently preformed spine surgery on my neck. The procedure corrected spine compression and nerve impingement. The location from C2 to T2 (Cervical/Neck to Thorax/Upper Body). This was an extensive surgery. My discussion with Dr. Kachmann were very informative and very professional. He detailed what was going to happen and what I could expect as results. I had complete confidence in his highly skilled abilities, professionalism, with appreciation in his caring attitude. I feel most blessed to have him as my surgeon.

Post surgery visit for a very big surgery. I am so thankful for his expertise. I don't think anyone could have performed this surgery any better. My recovery has been quick with swift pain reduction. I don't think anyone could find a better nerosurgeon.

I had spinal surgery in 2008 at the age of 18 due to a car accident that resulted in a radial burst fracture of my T6/T7 and several hairline fractures in my neck. I was lucky to have lived, but Dr. Kachmann was at ECU at the time, and I owe a lot to his team and his work. I have 2 rods and several screws in my back, and despite being in my 30s now, have little to no pain as a result of my injury. The scar tissue at the surgery site has never given me problems, either, and it’s a cool thing I get to show off sometimes!
