List of Vincent Dinapoli Md's Reviews
I went into Jewish Hospital for an MRI on April 16, 2020 after having a seizure and was immediately admitted for what was thought to be a stroke. As I was 31, I didn't think that was right. The next day, a resident told me it was a brain tumor and they needed to check and see if the cancer had spread to my whole body. One of the happiest and most relieving moments was the next day, when I met Dr. DiNapoli who told me it wasn't a brain tumor. He read my chart and thought it didn't make sense for someone my age and physical health to have a stroke, & it would be unlikely that I would just now be experiencing symptoms of a brain tumor the size of the object in my skull. He told me I had a brain abscess and while it was going to take next-day brain surgery, I was thankfully as it was the best of outcomes considering every other injury the prior doctors were misdiagnosing me with a terminal disease. I feel like I could've been a fatal statistic from misdiagnosis if I hadn't met Dr. DiNapoli. If my abscess had ruptured even while I was in the hospital, I feel at best, I would've become into a vegetable. His confidence and assurance calmed myself leading up to the surgery. As this was during Covid and my family couldn't visit, he called my father after the surgery and told him the surgery was successful. Brilliant doctor and very nice man.
After spending 2 years trying everything from physical therapy to injections to alleve the extreme pain in my lower back, I contacted Mayfield Brain & Spine. During my initial consultation, Dr. DiNapoli thoroughly and clearly explained what was wrong. He said that surgery could be performed and then described what that would entail. I had surgery on May 25, 2022. That night, the nurse at the surgical center took me for a short walk and I have been walking ever since! I only took pain meds for about 4 days. About 2 weeks after surgery, I burst into tears because it had been so long since I was pain free. At my recent 3 month checkup, Dr. DiNapoli said that the fusion is successful. I am walking over 10,000 steps per day, doing yoga, Tai Chi, yard work and house work - all pain free. I'm 61, but I feel like I'm 41. Thank you Dr. DiNapoli and Mayfield Brain & Spine for giving me a new lease on life!
He add the staff at Mayfield go above and beyond for their patients. He performed anything short of a miracle on my back. I thought at age 49 my best days were behind me. He not only repaired my back, he repaired my faith in doctors. For that I'm for ever grateful.
The Mayfield Clinic is a great clinic. Everyone there is friendly and extremely helpful. It is a spacious place, feel good to be there and there is almost no waiting time. Dr. DiNapoli is an amazing brain surgeon. In all my dealing with him before my surgery and after he was so professional, kind, human and took his time to explain everything and to answer all my question. He is of corse a top notch surgeon! I recommend him and the Mayfield Clinic as highly as possible.
A Dr. Picasso in the Art of Medicine. His contributions to humanity are priceless.
Surgery was perfect but He did not listen when I told him my pain wasn’t under control.
I would love to make a pie for Dr. DiNapoli, a surgeon I have never met, but this Google review will have to do. After my father had a very bad fall, Dr. DiNapoli reviewed his CT scans. When my dad was getting increasingly confused, Roberta in the front office, got us an appointment for a follow up scan and Dr. DiNapoli called us back that day to say the concussion had resolved. But when my mom explained his condition, Dr. DiNapoli suggested it could be a urinary tract infection, which can cause symptoms of confusion, agitation and disorientation in seniors. No, he did not do surgery on my dad or perform an miracles, but I think he saved my dad’s life when everyone else was writing him off as just an old man who’s mild Alzheimer’s was worsening. Now he is back to reading and writing and smiling, all thanks to Dr. DiNapoli.
Dr DiNapoli and staff were excellent in caring for my husband who had a re growth of a Pituitary tumor. Dr. DiNapoli spent time answering our questions and concerns. Reviewed the risks and benefits involved with the procedure. He and the team worked with our timeframe so we could celebrate significant family events before surgery.Post op was open to our requests. We highly recommend Dr DiNapoli and his team.
Absolutely. A very knowledgeable and caring physician. Dr. DiNapoli sincerely cares about his patients and gives his opinion about outcomes and risks. I found his approach refreshing. He did my cervical spine surgery and it went very well. He is a physician that wants to improve his patients lives whether it is brain surgery or spine surgery. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Dinapoli took time to explain everything to me about my disease & the surgery he would perform on me. I adore this man. I never felt rushed when I was with him for appointments, he spoke to me, not at me like some Dr’s do. He always made me feel at ease . I was terrified about what was happening to me, but he always gave me reassurance. His office staff was always very pleasant. I highly recommend Dr Dinapoli. I can’t thank Dr Dinapoli enough for giving me my quality of life back!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
